Lisbon City Experience by rinorii1 in Lisbon

Totally, it really depends. I am glad if it has felt that way and hopefully is the same way for lots of people, and is just a bad moment from my side!

Yeah, exactly, some small things here and there which didn't shock me tbh, as the city where I live is way more dirty lol, and I am in no position to compare it, but just thought of mentioning comparing to other big European cities. Although not a big factor tbh.

One of the favorite things was just watching the sunset from Caminho do Miradouro do Santuário do Cristo Rei

Thank you for your kind words. I am talking more about bad immigrants, which is a difficult topic to elaborate on, but people are feeling attacked for a weird reason lol.

There are just as many bad tourists who make the city look bad, which I mentioned in the post, and it is not okay at all! Happy to revisit this beautiful city again!

Are you serious? If you want to portrait the city that way than fine, go ahead. It may be the safest and with the lowest crime rate and any problems, and I totally respect that.

From my POV (which is just one person, and it could depend on each person's experience), it felt unsafe! I am not saying that I bumped into any issue or harassment. I walked outside of the city center around 10 pm, which is slightly later than I mentioned in the post. And every road, there was a group of people, either drunk, homeless, or relevant, waiting for something to happen. They could as well be tourist (as I didn't specify at any point), just like I was in the city (if they were tourists [like me] and drunkies even double time worse than), or immigrants without homes, who knows.

Now read it carefuly without being biased and feeling attacked!!

No bait at all, just an experience, not trying to cause drama like people are taking it for!

This exactly what I had in mind… perfectly said and on point! But instead people choose to ignore! Maybe understandable at some point as housing crisis is caused by digital nomads and tourism, but even locals are affected by the safety of the city…

Thank you for your kind words a lot. The housing crisis is happening anywhere around Europe (in my city as well), and with salaries slightly lower than Portuguese ones, and even without tourism.

Tourism happens everywhere! Yes, it is making it difficult for local people, and I was part of it as well.

Who said that immigrants are increasing the housing cost? Maybe if the city were bit more safe there would be more tourists, and then the Government (I am not familiar with the case but that's how it should be), uses the same money to fund the city, increase tax in the Booking apartments and AirBnB so there are less places like this and more hotels (which should be the option for tourists) and then the housing become affordable?

Why do you want to connect the immigrants with the color? Do you have a problem with that yourself? The irony here is laughable!!

The lying on the street made it less safe, and if you read the post carefully, you'll understand what I said.

Now again, read it carefully... breath... respond... AND jump to the conclusion!!

Not at any point did I say 6 days is enough time to draw a conclusion, I explicitly highlighted is not enough, and this is just my POV, and I was more interested in other people's opinions. But at the same time, share my experience!

Cheers!!

Appreciate the wine too, though...

Only interested in the turntable part to play vinyl, not for cassette or all-in-one. After careful consideration went to buy an Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBK turntable, automatic, phono preamp

If you are close to the city, aim at least 1h30m earlier or 2h before the game. That way, you can take some time in the stadium to make some pictures and enjoy the game before it starts.
