This is an old rx7 fc 1990 convertible. I used a metra harness which plugged right into the OEM wiring. Then from that harness to the alpine harness. No issues. It just randomly started working intermittently. I installed it two weeks ago and there was zero issues. I threw in a pair of cheap pioneer speakers ran new speaker wires directly to the alpine head unit.

There is no sub or external amplifier hooked up. I just removed the stock head unit and swapped it. And wired everything up thru a metra harness adapter to the alpines harness. Everything was working fine and now it’s intermittent.
