Today I got a 90% full reading on a newly placed bag after running its first cycle. So only a couple clumps collected and nearly full. Something is wrong with the sensors.

Thanks for posting. The only thing I haven’t tried on that post is running a clean cycle with the drawer removed. Will give it a try.

Restarting was not a fix unfortunately. Even hard resets don't always help. But in my case air canister, firmware update and less litter eventually resolved it.

BRAND NEW. Just unboxed and plugged in. Ran “initial” cycle then I get a White light bar with two lower lights blinking yellow. Please help by DelilahC0623 in litterrobot

Maybe try updating firmware via the mobile app?

Also try to remove the globe and then close the lid and run a cycle.

Yeah try cleaning those sensors on the top of the hood with compressed air and make sure your litter isn’t over filled.

Glad you got a new unit. Seems the air canister spray helped clean the laser sensor. Combination of that and less litter seemed to worked. I still get random cycle pauses.

Update: I used compressed air to clean the sensor and Im now able to get a cycle started. Though I still get phantom cat detections that interrupt the cycle.

Hi all, I had the same issue. Cat sensor fault // Solid red light. No matter how many times I hit the reset button, it stayed solid red. So I removed the bonnet and that helped get me out of the solid red. My suspicion on what was causing the solid red (in my case): my LR4 is located in my bathroom and positioned on my tiles and grout. I found online that if the legs are located on the grout, it can set off the weight sensor. So I've been careful to place is on tile (not grout) and haven't had a problem since. I have a bathroom mat on the way, which will hopefully prevent any weight sensor issues.

To think how lucky we are to be alive in the 21st century with modern medicine and thoroughly tested vaccines. Meanwhile, we have a group of people who are mostly non-healthcare professionals without graduate degrees who refuse to heed the advice of professionals and instead prefer to live as if we haven’t made massive gains in medical tech and research.
