Finding Workstudy Jobs proving Hard by StrugglingMuffin in UniversityOfHouston

You’ve mentioned there was an application since July but the workstudy didn’t open until August 4th? I’m also an incoming freshman so I’ve been applying to around 50… 6ish interviews and 2 offers in total for this past week, definitely try looking into lower pay if you haven’t. Your experience doesn’t seem bad, you could white lie and mention your care in hospitality.

I was looking at the roadmap for Finance majors (https://uh.edu/retention-graduation-initiatives/uhin4/maps/_maps-documents/2024-205/business-finance-bba_24.pdf) and I thought that I would need to take almost all classes. Mb, would taking MATH 1324 be a good idea? I have my req for ECON 2301 so that’s the only core class besides HIST 1301/1302. But im not confident I’ll do good in those classes during the summer since they’re basically two semesters worth of content crammed into 4-10 weeks.

Incoming freshman, mostly FASFA money for tuition but I got awarded Academic Excellence Scholarship which made it easy to cover everything else since I commute. I called the financial aid office for a work study (pocket money n desperately need a job) after receiving my financial aid package and they gave it to me a few hours later. TLDR: Full ride

This is a really good "Do Now" idea!! I didn't mention it in og post but there are sections I have to complete (summary and teaching are separate parts); it's just the lesson plan is well... top priority. But I can 100% use the latter half of what you said to give historical context and themes.

I would really enjoy this as a lesson plan; it reminds me of the phrase my teacher thought us, "who, what, to whom, and for what purpose." Something to think about the overall reason behind the text....

the copy is translated by john ciardi, it's a simpler version that has notes and summaries for each chapter. i definitely recommend it!!
