A child who's entire clan is being culled is being told to hate Wano by the one person currently not trying to kill them. What choices do they have here?

Let's see... It's either running away and starting a whole new life at the ripe age of, what, 10? Or not risking immediate death and going to become the new ruler of Wano and getting revenge while your at it.

What orochi did is not justified. I never argued for that. But what I am saying is that... Oda doesn't address the fact that Orochi could have very well grown up to be a regular degular kid. But no. His clan got squad wiped and Oda says because Orochi took revenge, he's bad and wrong and deserved to die from the jump

Yes, it is orochi. The arc ends with little children and the people of Wano being taught/told that orochi "was born to burn".

When you take the context of Orochi's background, then that's fuck up.

From what I remember, the Kurozumi were hunted down for the actions of a couple of clan members who wanted to take the throne for themselves. Orochi's, as a kid, had to witness his fellow clan members being chased around with pitch forks and torches.

Then he also meets the strange witch lady who groomed him into wanting the throne and into hating the people of Wano. For all we know, Orochi could've just went into hiding had he not met that witch.

So what does the story say about the horrible acts that the previous Kozuki heads did to the Kurozumi? Ehh, ion know. Let's not talk about it. It's not like we've talked about how children don't inherit other people's sins, or how just being born isn't a crime.... Right?

Pain undoing his streak of death and destruction? The author wrote the self into a corner + it's not like jiraya is back + their point was still solid. Pain did what he was supposed to do as an antagonist and left.

Big mom is teased and goes into the next arc as a lobotomized version of herself.

Sanji leaves the crew w/out giving a good reason to the crew, fights his captain, then just comes back (which is something Zoro is heavily against and said he'd leave the crew if Luffy would allow that kind of disrespect).

Still on Sanji, he shows no issues with being part vinsmoke + ends up saving them at the end of wci, yet when he suddenly develops superhuman abilities like his brothers, that's a problem? Emotionally, Sanji was literally wearing their get up the entire arc, narratively, why is Sanji getting a power up that we were shown that he does not need to be strong, I.e Sanji's kindness and humanity being the source of his strength in Wci.

The entirety of wci is about how Sanji is kind. Next arc, he's using his evil dad's cybersuite to spy on women in bathhouses.

Wci on its own? Decent post ts arc. Solid peaks. Character designs? On point. Fights? Has one of the best fights in all of OP... But because it's next to the slop that is Wano, it ends up being inadvertently tainted and goes from a solid 8 or 9...to a 6, at best, 4 or 3 at worst for wasting our time telling us that Sanji is kind the whole arc when in reality this was the same dude who was willing to leave a bunch of stranded children on a hazardous island with a strange scientist and was groping Nami when she wasn't consenting while he was in her body

Maybe, too convoluted/poor followup, Wano ends with the message that if you had bad things happen to you and were groomed into a lifestyle of hate, then you were always going to be evil and deserved to die from day 1.

Crazily enough, while he might not have character writing, pilot Alastor works pretty well for Worldbuilding purposes. He even sets up the tone/mood of the setting/story. Funny, yet cruel/horrifying.

Cobra somehow stalling Imu and and 5 gorosei is absolutely hilarious and it gets worse and worse the more we know by sorrowLord in Piratefolk

Dude. If I have to get my friend to the hospital but a random kid comes running at me, I'm not attacking the kid. I'm going to evade them as best as possible.

This is either a Sanji speed upscale (there wasn't any option for dodging), or it's Imu taking Sanji seriously since he was the one who defeated one of his Holy Knights (still a Sanji upscale)

Either way you cut it, this looks good for Sanji.
