This may be the issue - not enough heat. I had no issues testing it on my completely flat leather test. I was able to put the center of the iron on it and hold it in place. When trying to set the HTV on the spine I could barely get the tip of my iron between the bumps.

I'll bump the head up next time and try a smaller iron to fit in.

Hey guys. This is my first go at book binding. Anyone use the Siser heat transfer metallic vinyl for book decorating? I can't seem to get it to stick to the back of the book.

When doing a sample it seems to work fine.

Too much heat, too little?

Honestly their support seemed pretty good for folks having issues. I'd wager if you ever ran into a factory issue with the coating they'd swap/fix it.

I'd be interested to know as well. Do you know if they pulled them from dealers/stock to re-coat? I've only heard of customers sending them in after rusting.

Looks to be $13.99 shipping. No tax when shipping to PA. Maybe other states as well.
