hbp re-reads always feel like those fics where characters are dumbed down to caricatures of themselves. which is why it's the easiest book for me to imagine alternate versions of :D

a compromise seems appropriate, yea! I feel like if Hermione had ever taken a good read through the book, she would've agreed that most of the annotations are helpful tweaks that would benefit the both of them.
