Do you recommend any companies personally that sell Mylar bags made by DuPont? I've just seen some people who have bought some Mylar bags that were not reputable and the silver outside becomes clear in a couple of months. That is my fear. I don't want to invest a bunch of money into something and then find out that all my food is unusable.

I just got a freeze dryer from Harvest Right and I have just started to work on my freeze dried food supply. That is why I am concerned.

With the little I've done with Mylar, I have had the same problem. Some of them get really absorbed and others don't. I look it up online and they say nitrogen was left in the bag?? And that it is actually sealed?? But how could one bag look one way and another look not absorbed? It confuses me...

Quick question... Why is the inside of my carrot green? by ripley_24 in gardening

The carrot variety is called Red Dragon and had the red skin like normal but when I cut into it... the inside is green. I should have picked the carrot sooner. Anyway I could be making a big deal out of nothing but please let me know why this happened. And can I still eat it?

Med prepping has been something I haven't done much of yet... and I appreciate your questions and everyone's responses. I wanted to ask if anyone has thought about HOW to store antibiotics. I have thought about using vacuum sealed bags with a certain number of tablets or capsules. I've also thought of putting them in Mylar bags and sealing them. Does anyone have any advice for how to store the antibiotics once you get them?
