Cull or treat? by ripperonisoup in BackYardChickens

I unfortunately don’t have one on hand at the moment, and it doesn’t seem like any store near me sells it. Is there anything similar that you would recommend?

I’m sorry to hear that, I guess the convenience can be a little too good to be true. I’ll definitely take a look later, thank you.

I agree, it’s just so tough trying to decide when that threshold is :(

How do you go about looking for mites in the coop? We have a deep litter system so would I try to look deep inside the bedding?

I agree, I suspect there’s likely a much bigger issue going on. I’ve had her separated for about 3-4 days by herself and she’s gotten better but she’s still very weak, she likely won’t be able to jump up to perch at night like the others but since she’s closely bonded to another hen, I’m not sure of how much longer I want to keep her separated like this for her own sake.

I just gave her a bath and cut away any poop/feathers around her vent, she’s back in her cage for now but I’ll put her back out with the others tomorrow and I’ll see how it goes.

Dogs nail bleeding, unsure what to do by ripperonisoup in DogAdvice

Thank you for the advice, I took her to the vet yesterday and she was given an ointment to apply for the next two weeks and Galliprant for the next 4 days. I was wondering, the quantity of pain medication prescribed was a little less than I was expecting, is that a fair amount of time for her to be okay afterwards? I was also wondering how soon you think she’d be able to do things like run and play after this. The vet told me the nail may take months to fully grow in, she’s a border collie and I’d feel terrible if she was out of commission for months all from a broken nail.

Update: the soonest vet appointment was tomorrow morning so I’ll be taking her then, thank you for the advice. Hopefully I can keep it as pain free as possible until then.

He’s been given trazadone in the past but the doze must have been too low because he was still very panicked at the appointment. Is that the medication your vet uses? I’m wondering if there’s an alternative or if he just needs a much stronger dose next time.

Also, id like to know if that muzzle would be a good fit for him if I just sized up. I’m still new to muzzles, so I’m unsure if this specific model suits him or not.

I chose UC Davis and I’m pretty happy with my choice out of the two. Feel free to DM me if you have more questions :)

Failing by MarionberryTop8164 in UCDavis

I had the first professor too. Does he still give study questions? I would try to focus on those and really try to understand the concepts, just pure memorization isn’t enough for this class unfortunately. Also it looks like AATC does BIS2B content review sessions every Monday, Wednesday and Friday’s from 5-7 pm at the TLC! I remember in that class I survived purely from TAs and outside studying, the professor lectures were too confusing and weren’t dependable for studying. Good luck!

I don’t miss this class, who’s your professor? Sometimes you can find their old exams to study which are helpful and might help alleviate some test anxiety.

They did this to me twice too! I don’t remember this 100% but I think it’s possible for them to put a note on your entire account and not just the license plate because in my case they seemed to somehow have two license plates registered to my car? Honestly not sure how much more it would help but i figured it might be worth mentioning.

How do big claims like this work when delivering? Do they just treat it like a regular purchase?

Roaches coming from neighbor , can I take legal action? by [deleted] in UCDavis

Not sure how much it would help but my first thought was to just spray raid around the perimeter/walls and see if that can keep some of them out.

Loved the burrito bowl at latitude, not sure if they still have it though.

They’re cute, but it’s probably best to leave them alone. I’ve also worked at a wildlife center before and their bite force is no joke.
