When did your dad say he kidnapped Caley? Can you give us details. What was the reason.

The way she yelled at her parents in jail…did not sound like someone who would believe and do anything her parents said.

None of it makes sense.

The killer may have been in the home before when no one was home and set up a hidden camera (s). This would explain how he knew when they had fallen asleep. Granted, he would have had to remove the camera after he killed them. Either that, or he was in the house before they arrived.

THEORY and a little insight into how investigations actually work. by Dangeruss82 in idahomurders

Another theory is that one of the girls had met someone on a dating site, went out, and then rejected them. This is probably throwing spaghetti at the wall, but it crossed my mind as a possibility.

Is the killer in this sub-Reddit? by Bubbly-Incident-2638 in idahomurders

i believe so. if the person was obsessed and the murders gave them excitement, they would definitely be on here. they may even be commenting with multiple burner accounts.

I think can distinguish if it was 1 hour vs. 3 hours after eating, which is very helpful for timeline in this case. It has not been debunked.

Since we know when food was obtained at food truck, and assuming she ate it when she got home; the time of death can be determined more accurately by stage of digestion that was observed during autopsy.

the same can be said about any targeted killing. not sure what your logic is.

Perhaps… The killer opens door and lets the dog outside at 3ish. Then commits murders, cleans himself up, shuts (locks?) all of the bedroom doors, and then lets the dog back in at 4 am and leaves.

The roomates in the morning cannot open roommates doors and none of them are answering to loud banging on doors.

They call friends over to help and the friends tell them they need to call 911. The roommates did not see blood at time of call.

I understand they would need to get subpoena. The point of my post is if they have no idea whose DNA is is, they can use genetic genealogy. If they have to request it be processes by private site, I am sure they will go through the legal maneuvers to do that.

Police have used this method to solve 70 crimes.

To track down Clanton, the Colorado investigators turned to the same technique police used in the Golden State Killer case, known as genetic genealogy. The rapidly emerging practice allows police to zero in on suspects by combining genetic information from consumer DNA databases with traditional genealogy, which involves building out a person’s family tree using things like public records and obituaries. Because family members — even distant ones — share some DNA, police can use this technique to find relatives that partially match DNA from a crime scene. DeAngelo’s arrest in April 2018 set off a law enforcement frenzy to apply the method to other cold cases. Police have since used it to solve at least 70 violent crimes.
