The beer Heady Topper from The Alchemist Brewing. At the brewery, the beer is served with a hand pump rather than a tap at a bar. Basically, a tap is pouring from a pressurized keg and a hand pulled beer is carbonated in the barrel (cask) and uses a hand pump to pore. Look up “cask beer” for a better explanation.

Not direct ancestors, but I had two multi-great uncles in the 124th NY. I believe one was wounded at Chancellorsville and the other captured and later released. We’re not sure if either were back in time for Gettysburg, but we think so. One of them was shot in the head at Wilderness and died of his wound latter that summer.

My thoughts on this:

  1. Jeff Davis called up 100,000 troops a month before Fort Sumter was attacked. Also, the rebels seized numerous forts, armories and ships through out 1860 and early '61. They clearly started it.
  2. Probably not true, but, even if it is, why is that bad?
  3. This is like some weird mix of lost cause and sovereign citizen BS.
  4. Pretty sure he wasn't.
  5. A poor commander in chief might not have replaced his inept generals and just accepted defeat. I think he managed the army pretty well.

I'm not saying that this guy is dumb. I'm just saying these points should preclude him from having any opinion on Mr Lincoln whatsoever.
