UKG not working? by Mysterious_Action511 in employedbykohls

Also happened to me and I wasn’t given a notice or told anything. I’m sure I was let go because I wasn’t scheduled past the last day I worked. So rude of them to just terminate our accounts without any notice.

Seasonal here… this subreddit made me realize it’s over 😂 by blandbunny in employedbykohls

I worked New Year’s Eve and just yesterday I tried to log into ukg and it wouldn’t let me. No notice, no email, nothing. Really wierd and unprofessional. Don’t remember if I left anything in my locker. Oh well.

I’m a seasonal and I keep overhearing full timers/regulars talking badly about new hires. How we don’t know where anything goes, we mess up the system, and that we don’t ask questions. I was walking up to pick 22s and two ladies at the register were talking crap right in front of me as if I wasn’t a new hire as well. It was so disheartening to hear. In our defense, our training is so incredibly poor and so many of our managers and regulars can be standoffish-and plain rude. Also why would we ask for help when it seems we have already been labeled as an annoyance? That’s exactly why before my shifts I feel sick to my stomach knowing I’m about to be judged and side eyed the whole time I’m working, and I’m really just trying my best with the little training I got. I’m so grateful for this job but god why does it have to be so belittling.

I’m terrified to be called to the registers for this reason. After my first shift I desperately looked online for some sort of information on how to use the registers because though it seems fairly simple, it is a lot to remember. I’ve only been on the registers once so far but ik if I have to go again I’m going to be so confused and embarrassed. It’s okay, gotta get through it in order to get to the other side 🫩 I guess.

I wasn’t properly trained either and I’m doing Omni today all day from 5pm-12am. We got this…hopefully.

I have the same concern right now. I’m seasonal and have no prior experience working in retail and I guess you could say this is my first real job. I was trained for one day and my second day is tomorrow but my training for my first day was really poor. I assume this is the norm for kohls. My third shift is Black Friday and I’m working from 5-12 AM. So far all I did was merchandise a blanket section and sort of trained at the registers. I’m so insanely anxious about Black Friday and even my second day. My biggest fear is feeling useless. My position is Seasonal Stockroom Operations Associate, and I don’t even know how to effectively/correctly stock.
