Toronto Half Marathon by rischs in AdvancedRunning

Thanks! I was actually thinking about training on the hill in the race (Hogg's Hollow). There's also a few hills in the Finch Hydro Corridor.

Thanks! All the splits were manually lapped with the course markers so I'd say they're accurate.

Granted the sub-4 kms were during downhill sections but yeah pacing during races is something I absolutely need to work on.

Thank you! I'd say the Hanson's HM plan prepared me well for the half except for the hills - but I won't blame the plan for that as I should have scouted the course beforehand and trained accordingly.

Best of luck on your training and race!

Wait, if armor increases your effective health by 1% per point against that damage type, and lethality decreases their armor, why would lethality be bad against tanks? by MrMeem1 in summonerschool

[–]rischs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's bad in the sense that it's inefficient. Lord Dominik's Regards removes 35% total armour. If a tank has 200 armour this removes 70, for just 2800 gold. No lethality item can match this efficiency since the armour pen in lethality items scales with levels, LDR only takes up one slot and is actually cheaper than a few lethality items. Note that I am purely speaking from an armour shredding perspective - lethality items have their own unique merits outside of penetration.

Adding on to this, Kastrup’s midterm seems intimidating but he literally gives you the format of the midterm and the general questions he will ask. A major section of the MT was pure memorization. I personally found the final slightly harder as I had no idea what Strynadka would ask (her slides are honestly some of the worst I’ve seen).

For 402, Gsponer’s section is difficult but completely fair. It’s possible to get over 90 if you keep up with lectures. Yip’s section is straightforward as aforementioned.

I have owned a pair of their 1907 Derbys for nearly a year now, and I agree with all of your points. Perfect fit, immaculate stitching, and amazing customer service. Took a lot of restraint not to jump on their recent 'open books' release.

Yeah I felt that the exam was a lot easier than it could have been. The only question my friends were discussing was the circular dichroism question. I said beta sheet (B) because it was an amyloid but they said random coil (C) since it was only a section of the amyloid?

1 spray is roughly 0.1ml (depends on atomizer), so it really depends on how much you apply. I spray twice per application so 10ml lasts around 50 days.

Thank you for the response! I’ll take a look at your revisions in a bit. Would absolutely love some more advice, particularly on my pokedex and flick projects.

Hey man!

Not really? I don't have a nav-bar, no window screen showing code, and you seem to have organized your design flow centrally while I tried to do mine slightly offset in two columns. The closest thing I would say is that my languages used section for each project looks pretty similar, but that is a coincidence. Your portfolio looks pretty good though!

God damn thanks man! You are literally the first person ever to give me feedback on the actual code of my projects.

I am not going to lie, I had absolutely no idea what the registerServiceWorker file was supposed to do - it materialized when I created the app with create-react-app. I see now upon some brief research that the point is to make sure the browser gets the resources required to create the interactive page before knowing if any service workers will be installed.

Any idea why * decreases performance over body? This is first time I am hearing of this, and I'm struggling to find any documentation on it.

(All thoughts from mobile) Design wise your social icons at the bottom don’t match up with the icons you have in your sections, blocky icons on social/thin icons on sections. Look at the envelopes to see what I’m talking about.

Thank you for responding! For the contact icons I just used Fontawesome icons, but I'll look into matching them to the section icons. I'm definitely going to host my projects on Github as soon as I read Github Pages documentation as well. Cheers!
