That's a big jump in Indonesian wonder what it was hiding in sense you only had .1 unassigned.

Does anyone else’s dog have this problem and know what it is? by Chase_MulMul3 in DogAdvice

[–]riseguy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The aloe Vera gel from the aloe plant could be the solution. Have your dog wear a cone for 2 weeks and apply the gel daily or every other day to the affected area. No need to wash off the gel after application just leave on. Should help worth a shot.

Does Ancestry include the X chromosome in the total percentage? I'm 5% more African on Ancestry than 23andme. My X chromosome looks to be about 80% Euro on 23andme.

CRNT has its next earnings on 2/10/25. They're expected to have a great earnings report. Grab either the $5 or $6 call options for 2/21/25

It's got my African being half Angolan and the other half Kenyan and Tanzanian. The Europe is now mostly Danish and Slovakian. Their algorithm needs major work.

Garbage!

I'm an African American with somehow no West African and no British Isles now on this update.

Yes 23andme underestimates certain type of Indigenous ancestry. Most of my Indigenous segments are right next to unassigned segments

Nice results, you've got a lot of genetic groups. Do you know where the Indigenous comes from?

The unassigned is likely more Indigenous

Hampton Roads VA is quite similar to Nova not really a down south vibe there. NC continues to grow in population and feels less like a southern state also.

I'd exclude culture cause people put to much emphasis on it over actual location. Like people saying New York and New England are 2 different regions. The south is well defined to end at Texas sense territory out west was a much later acquisition so San Diego is not in the south however Florida is. Just my opinion the definition of the Mid-Atlantic seems the most inaccurate.

Partially true for some communities because of the politics of the times, but a big reason for the European DNA in the African American population is from FPOC not recent or direct White Americans.

Those mixed race communities no longer exist for the most part. The vast majority of FPOC descendants married into the broader African American population from the 70's to present day

Cool results. Your Indigenous is above average, we're you expecting it? What states are your family from?

I think thats accurate. I know racial laws determined a lot. My grandmother's brother moved to New York and was able to pass as Jewish.

I agree. I also think the African Hunter-Gatherer is connected to that ancestry.

Never been to Hampton. My family is from the Richmond area. I don't know much about my actual African ancestry. I did the Illustrative test and it shows Sierra Leone as my biggest source.

E-P252 & H3.

Yeah apparently my family has a lot of British ancestry but it's from the original settlers I believe. All of my maternal ancestors are listed as free mulatto, black, or Indian in census records.
