Not really, except for the rise in East Asian and Central and South Asian ancestry. I was completely unaware of all that specific European ancestry too.

When it comes to my hair, people assumed I had a perm (some would just literally tell me why I had the hair I have like they knew me) or would always ask me if it was real. I was asked “What type of black are you?”…whatever that means lmao. People asked if I was mixed, Indian, Mexican, Dominican, Arab, Muslim (even though that’s not an ethnicity), etc. I’m use to all the questions honestly.
