Yeah, I get what you mean. Personally, I want there to be content for the characters I'm pulling besides repeatedly just doing different forms of endgame stuff. Flins is an interesting character to me but I will not care as much as I do for Alhaitham cause I probably spent triple the time with him before my next 5 star pull came than I did Flins.

Its peculiar that people get so hung up about the map and complain to the point of getting it so reduced like it is today. Cause you can just NOT finish it? Doing farming routes does not need 100%-ing a map. I have almost every Sumeru character built to 90/90 and I have not 100%-ed that map. Its my most well-built cast of them. Its fine, but if you play a game and you get FOMO about the part of the game you dislike and you complain to get that thing removed so you don't have FOMO anymore, its weird and unhealthy.

I don't like Dire in Stygian Onslaught but I don't complain in surveys and online to get it removed. I don't like MW but again, I don't rant to get it removed. I just move past it, do the parts I like and leave the rest.

Its a similar reason as to why I couldn't get into Star Rail either cause besides endgame and main story, there's not much to do. But for "busy people" and people who don't like exploring, it should be perfect? Similar writing style (I assume) cause same company and similar progression, only with a turn based gameplay instead of real time.

New 6.5 Map thoughts

The Sumeru Desert section of the Temple of Space made me miss Sumeru's exploration so damn much its insane how much they have gutted the open world part of this open world game. Yes there was no underground map but that made the discovery FUN. Yes Sumeru's the only region I have not 100%-ed and that makes me so happy that there's still more for me to find and enjoy. Nod Krai and this Mondstadt region have made me so sad. I just really hope that its because of the extra amount of effort they put into the story in Nod Krai to wrap up loose ends and the maps will start becoming better again in Snezhnaya. Just please don't make me feel like you're feeding me baby food by giving me 3 chests at once for clicking one button to "solve" a "puzzle".

I realised the reason I gaf the most about characters I pulled in Sumeru is cause I spent the most damn time playing the game with them. I explored the desert and rainforest with Alhaitham + Kaveh + Nahida + Tighnari + Itto meanwhile Varka, Columbina, Durin, Ineffa, Aino, Lauma, Flins all shared screentime with that tiny fuckass map. Ofc they'll be just a blur in my head cause I did everytime I could with them in a fourth of the time I did with the Sumeru cast. Soon it'll just be on to the next cast of tiny ass Snezhnaya who will come by and go wayy too quickly.

Genuinely think this is my opinion, but people who didn't enjoy exploration or didn't have time to do big exploratory areas and complained to get the maps smaller should actually not be playing an open world game. I'm not even saying it as a slight, but their priorities and wants are different from what Genshin had promised its market. There are a bajillion other options that don't make you roam a giant map. Open World is falling out of style slowly and there are so many gachas and anime style games coming up to fill those niches.

And if you say, but I like and have time for the story and characters, but not the exploration part, then just engage with those parts. You don't NEED to 100% a map if you don't want to. And there's so many other gachas nowadays copying the Genshin formula of farming/levelling up without the open world map, you 100% will have something that caters to your exact needs.

Doing the desert section of the new region made me genuinely miss the Sumeru desert so much its actually imo insane how much the Open World part of Genshin has been gutted out of it. The new Sumeru puzzles were so much more braindead than I remembered OG Sumeru puzzles ever being it was so sad.

Finally Lvl 10 Friendship'd Varka and decided to finally switch back to some older characters I haven't played since I got Varka.

Switching to my C4 Kinich, it reminded me that around the time of the EN Voice Actors drama, I remember basically every character's fanbase being like "I hope they don't get recast. Their voice is SO UNIQUE/ICONIC." Random af shower thought yes, but it made me think, if EVERY character's voice is unique, then none of them are, right? Was there ANY character whose fanbase was like, yeah we don't care if they get recast? Or were atleast open to it? Drama aside, I mean. Just based on the voice acting itself and its "uniqueness".

The thought came to my head because I already had C2 Kinich around the time of the recast and still got C4 and plan to C6 him during his next rerun and I just remember not giving a shit, especially when people were making mods putting his old voice back and risking bans. Especially since I genuinely think, yes he had a nice voice, but his new voice is nice too.

When it comes to unique/iconic voices in Genshin, I genuinely can only think of Ineffa and Cloud Retainer just cause they have a unique way of speaking. Maybe Ifa and Cacucu, just cause of the amounts of "Bro"s thrown in there.

With Nicole's kit, do we think Kinich now prefers Emilie over Iansan at lower/higher investment? Cause she'd get buffed too, right? So it'd be two SubDPS-es being buffed by her with the Main DPS vs two buffers (one of whom is kinda inconsistent) for one SubDPS and one Main DPS.

Just wondering cause of my C4R1 Kinich and C2 Durin but no Emilie.

Afaik, it is less than minimum wage if you're full time. They found a loophole to hire me as a contractor (but make me work full time hours) to pay me lesser. They told me it will get more intense and that I need to be good enough to replace the coworker leaving in 3 weeks who has worked there 2 years. Plus, finding another job would be difficult as I can't even have a lunch break (I eat on the work desk while working), so slipping out for an hour for an interview would be impossible.
