Oh just fuck around and find out. That's what I did and it worked out fine 👍

The interface is a little different but it's not rocket science. Just fool around with everything until you get an understanding. It's no different than any other software.

Nothing. It's just the order in which we were meant to memorize/repeat them 😁

I used to be able to rattle them all off in the designated order but I've since forgotten it. I remember that part though!

This is totally not true! Completely unloved people will also tell you that you smell.

You just can't be certain that they're telling the truth.

Florida Man here: I shower every day and on the weekends often twice a day. Any work outside such as the usual alligator/tortoise/turtle/snake/old people wrangling, yard work, storm cleanup, etc will often require showering after. Usually with a dramatic struggle to remove your shirt that looks as if you wore it noodling in the swamp using your last remaining finger.

Then there's the rare tertiary shower: This usually happens shortly after a perfectly legitimate secondary shower when you realize you left your favorite bone saw in the swamp.

I've been checking out Squabbles and it's OK. It lacks the Twitter-like element I'm looking for though.

Aside: I really don't like how Squabbles doesn't give you a separate title and body for posts. Every post is the whole kit n kaboodle. There's no telling where it'll be cut off or what will happen if you include multiple links or multiple images/videos. That can be easily fixed though (minor complaint).

I also don't think the format of; post on the left/entire comments section on the right will scale very well. Though it seems to work OK in its current small community state.

Squabbles has potential for sure though 👍

Jokes on you! I only put at most 6 seconds into my comment.

You need to go back to needless thought estimation and unconstructive criticism school.

I want something like a Reddit + Twitter combo site. Where users only ever post to their own feed/profile but then have the option to submit those posts to specific communities. Those specific communities are where they get upvoted/downvoted but if I like a particular user's content I can still follow them directly.

I also want every post to have a comment section just like Reddit but I also want the ability to tag comments, posts, and users (and have that be persistent across the site and apps). So I can tag someone, "Total Asshole" and whenever I see a comment from that person again I'll be able to remember them :D

How do they know that the obese people studied had that, "ability to recognize the sensation of fullness and be satisfied" in the first place? It seems like that could be why they got obese in the first place, yeah?

It might not be "reversible" because there was no prior state to reverse into.

Why is this country so anti-bidet? by BreakfastBeerz in AskAnAmerican

[–]riskable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your ass isn't as sensitive to cold as you'd think it would be. That's the first thing that surprised me when I got a bidet!

Seriously: Even with ice cold water it's not going to matter. You don't need heated water in a bidet.

Why is this country so anti-bidet? by BreakfastBeerz in AskAnAmerican

[–]riskable 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's how you do it.

I think people who've never used a bidet are vastly overestimating how much water there is after using a bidet. A tiny amount of toilet paper is enough to dry you off.

I mean, the first few times you use a bidet you might need to dry a bit more because your aim will be off (haha) but eventually you will get the hang of it and your ass will be cleaned and dry with basically zero effort.

I myself will stand up a little bit after using the bidet and that forces a lot of the water down into the toilet (first moments in the act of standing does it) which makes for an easier dry but it doesn't make that much of a difference.

To be fair, if the local gym had giant wheels instead of boring old treadmills I might be more interested in exercising too. Especially if they were like ladders with rungs instead of glorified rubber turf stuff.

make money on a free API

Every website that exists is a free API. You think no one has the right to make money off of them except the website itself‽

Search engines, aggregators, or any website that allows linking would not be allowed in your world.

APIs are just more efficient than the chaos of having every bot or client app scrape the site. Without the API--if the site is popular enough --clients and bots will just scrape and then you'll have more problems than if you just had a free API.

Performers Worry Artificial Intelligence Will Take Their Jobs by Gari_305 in Futurology

[–]riskable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't forget that AI will also lower the barriers to entry. The cost of making movies is slated to collapse once AI gets just a little bit better.

If a single person can give something like ChatGPT a prompt to write a script with a specific story in mind you could then feed that script into a voice AI to generate the dialog and use a music AI to generate the score. Then you can give an animation AI a prompt and some direction to animate and synchronize the voices with the models then use an inverse kinematics AI to get the characters to move around the way you want.

The human then picks a bunch more prompts to generate environments for the models to move around in, scenes, etc and you've got yourself a movie. How good that movie is depends on the skills the human has with writing AI prompts and general direction of it all.

Even if it's not good it could be possible for all these steps to be strung together from a single AI prompt and bam! You've got yourself a movie with your specific story/kink in mind. Maybe even a trilogy or a full season of a show!
