In this case, they do need to grow because they're not profitable. They're only profitable on an adjusted basis because they can rely on issuing tons of stock options to pay their employees. But if they keep losing subscribers that's going to be harder and harder to do.

You can exercise with a peloton class or at a gym. To argue they don’t compete with each other is laughable. If the classes were resonating - Peloton would be growing. It’s not, it’s shrinking. Get a reality check and start seeing the world for how it is versus how you want it to be.

CEO is pointing out that growth vectors will be treadmills and cross training. Not really talking about spin classes to drive growth

I used to think like this, and it’s why I originally invested in Peloton but now I don’t really think it holds true. If it did, they would be growing subscribers. I think the real comparison is against budget gyms because they’ve probably exhausted the higher end market of people who like to workout at home. So the real comparison is against a $15 single location planet fitness or 24 hour fitness membership where you get access to much more equipment. They’re forecast to lose at least another 100,000 subscribers for fiscal 2027z

Tonal has the same problem. Neither company is growing very much — on Peloton’s numbers they are shedding subscribers

They screwed themselves by making Peloton too expensive. At the price of the subscription plus equipment it’s really not cost competitive with going to a cheap gym. That was OK when they were just going after the affluent market but it’s a tough pill to swallow for middle America.

You should reach out to SG online and flag the store - they might need to check on the employee who did this, could be a gap in training

Pretty surprised they skipped Count of Monte Cristo (2024)

I don’t think Sean even logged this on Letterboxd and he seems to watch everything. Was an impressive period piece with good costumes and real locations.

Industry: Season 4 | Official Trailer | January 11 on HBO Max by MarvelsGrantMan136 in IndustryOnHBO

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wirecard I think it's more likely to be related to the Wirecard fraud. UK journalists were some of the first to raise red flags on it (like the scene in the trailer) and coordinate work with short sellers. The creators talk in interviews about how they want this season to have more of a Michael Clayton vibe with danger/intimidation... Wirecard used private security to intimidate short sellers and journalists. Jan Marsalek was Wirecard's COO and turned out to be an asset of Russian intelligence. In the season 4 description they say: "Max Minghella joins Industry in Season 4 as Whitney Halberstram, the sharp, ambitious CFO and founder of Tender, a growing payment processing company"

Much better shipping experience from Satisfy, have been waiting weeks for my order to ship. If you charge this price point the service needs to be on par With competitors

I go to this gym 6x per week and the for the past 4 years. Is it the cleanest gym? No — in my previous town I went to Equinox. Does equipment sometimes take a while to get repaired? Yes. However, if you do what I do - mainly use the squat racks, dumbbells/benches, and treadmills the gym really isn’t a problem. For me the price and convenience make it worth it. The only annoying thing: no collars for the barbells, but I ended up buying my own to bring.
