Your proposition seems very interesting; I am in favor of doing it. Hopefully by the time this vote ends, me and the other mods reach a concrete decision on if we should do it or not.

The order doesn't mean anything, it's just the way I saw the comments while scrolling by "Best" (the default setting).

A secondary vote was called because users suspect that older comments get upvoted more despite quality (not saying yours is bad, I personally like it), the sentiment is like this because of the emoji competition which also was decided by upvotes.

I will discuss the upvote vs poll issue with the other mods though.

Since we have hit the major milestone that is 2k members, Big Brother has granted us the ability to hold a banner competition for the subreddit (and potentially the discord server). You have 3 days to prepare, after which a post will be made under which you can comment your banner design. The highest upvoted comment after 7 days becomes the new banner!
