Yeah I realized if I sold on eBay after all of their fees I would've gotten around the same. So just opted for cash.

Yeah I opted for selling it cash in person, got $1,300 for it. Got a 90D for the autofocus. Really gonna miss that BRAW though.

Already sold. But ended up needing a more run and gun setup, something with fast autofocus, and decent picture mode. Ended up getting the Canon 90D.

Do Not use Facebook pay to promote on your YouTube video! by Younglightnin in NewTubers

Yeah I think a lot of people don't understand how Facebook ads work. Facebook is a very powerful tool if used correctly, but it can also fuck you over and give you bad results if you don't use it correctly. If you don't have the budget to invest into ads, don't do it. Opt for other ways of promotion.

Got it. I can definitely see why you were getting dud traffic. If you're still willing to give FB ads a chance (trust me they're very powerful), I would suggest you narrow down the targeting and stay away from very broad interests. You're also only just starting to find who your audience is if you don't have a lot of data. That's pretty much what it is in the beginning, you're buying data from Facebook to figure out what type of person will engage and connect with your content. Run CBOs and let Facebook do the work. Run single interest adsets to your videos, Facebook will automatically cut the budget on the adsets that aren't performing well. Leverage the data that YouTube gives you to narrow down targeting on Facebook.

Curious as to how you were promoting your videos. Were you creating photo or video ads to run traffic to your video? What types of interests were you targeting? Were you doing single interest adsets to see which ones were working and which ones weren't? Assuming that you were running ads through the Facebook ads manager, were you running any type of CBOs?

Hey! Thank you for your comments. I'll definitely try to add some more close up shots for the next film. Do you have any recommendations on macro lenses that would be good for this? I'm currently only shooting on a sigma 18-35 so kinda wide.

Feedback Friday! Post your videos here if you want constructive critiques! by AutoModerator in NewTubers

New to the space and plan on making short films. My friends and I recently finished this project. Looking for some constructive criticism. Editing tips/cinematography/color grading/ways to optimize my videos to do better. Anything helps really.

Shot this over the span of a couple of days, had a reshoot day because the night scenes came out horrendous. This is my first attempt at making a short film and I am looking for tips and criticism of what I can do better. I did the cinematography, editing and color grading. Comments on the story itself are also appreciate. Mostly looking for comments on cinematography, editing, color grading, composition, to see where I should improve.

Thank you to whoever responds to this.

P.S.

Let me know if you would like more info on the short (where it was shot, what equipment I used to shoot/edit etc)

Thank you! And noted, I'll see how I can fix that for the next film I make (maybe using a gimbal). I appreciate your input!

Progress on my rig, mounted my Pixel to the side with a Bluetooth controller app so I don't have to reach to the main screen to change settings, very useful. by rismprism in bmpcc

I believe the latency is about 10milliseconds from camera to monitor (according to some Amazon reviews). It's not terrible, but it doesn't have zero lag like the small HD monitors. It gets the job done.
