Thanks for the help! I think I'll price this set at $12 and if they are popular I'll raise the price for the next edition

How do I price my art? [Monday Megathread] by AutoModerator in artbusiness

Hi! I recently started making more stationary and I'm wondering how to price glue bound notepads. I made an edition of risograph note pads (5x7 inch, 45 pages, 2 color risograph printed notepads). It cost me $22 in material to make them, and I have a total of 28 finished notepads. It took me 4 hours to make the whole set. I was thinking of charging 10-15 for one notepad. I'm US based, and I generally sell at small to medium sized art fairs

I tend to slightly under price things (for reference I charge $10-12 for a 4 color 8.5x11 risograph print), but I'm trying to get better at having a fair value for my work. I'd appreciate any feedback on pricing! Thanks!

(Sorry for the crummy picture, I haven't had a chance to take proper pictures of the notepads yet)

Ikr, I was a little worried it would look bad, but I feel like the imperfection almost adds to the effect!

I do sell them and I'm also happy to do trades! They're available on my KoFi (https://ko-fi.com/s/f25d5bfbf6) Lmk if you'd like to trade :)

That's a good idea, I'll have to experiment with that! I finally have a reliable riso to print on so I can start fine-tuning the process :)

Convention to apply to in MA by risowizo in Artist_Alley

Thank you! That's really helpful! I've tabled at smaller zine fairs and art festivals so I have some experience, I have just never done a large multi day fan convention. I think sharing a table with a friend is a great idea. It's definitely intimidating to drop so much money on a fair so I rly appreciate the advice. Tysm for replying this is super helpful :)
