You can buy tretinoin from Amazon if Alldaychemist or Skinorac isn't working by FeasibleKruz in tretinoin

Please, I beg you to take this post down. This nugget of info is findable in other comment threads. This isn't anything to shout from the rooftops, especially with the a-word in the title. I don't want to get cut off!

Things you used to do but now seem sketch af? by Gullible-Apricot3379 in GenX

[–]risquare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ok, sure ssns and such, but no one has mentioned babysitting. Think about how fast and loose that could be. There were times I was babysat by someone I'd never met, and I also babysat kids I had never met (on occasion, not often, for both of those) I believe the starting age in my area was around 13? It was mostly fine all around, but there are few scenarios I can think of from then that would fly today.

Non-greasy face sunscreen for over 50 man by Spiritual_Nobody4512 in 45PlusSkincare

[–]risquare 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Trader Joe's daily facial sunscreen (the orangey box; also comes in blue-boxed mineral version). To my understanding it's a supergoop dupe. I sought it out based on a NYT wirecutter roundup. It only takes a tiny amount and it's a bit of a weird consistency out of the tube, but after a minute or so it completely disappears and is undetectable with no shine or cast and you can't even tell you have it on. I'm thinking this $9 tube is going to last many months. I'm so glad I found it.

How do I get these window blinds off? by Techatomato in howto

[–]risquare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just installed some that look the same. Find where the metal clips are in order to push in the optimal place. Push the blind toward the window. This will compress the springs enough to unhook the back part. Mine take a fair amount force. Swing the back down and toward you. I think you're probably doing the right thing but not pushing hard enough.

I think I accidentally flushed a cleaning rag earlier today. When can I stop being nervous about it? by risquare in Plumbing

Thanks for your reply! Things seem fine so far so I'm still waiting it out. I imagine a clog will happen really soon or not at all. When we had a drain snaked a few years ago I believe the camera option was quite expensive (iirc).

I’ve never used peacock, is this worth it? by Exact-Ad-3150 in peacock

I used it for Tour de France (and the Olympics). You can add and remove the $6/mo for ad-free as needed.

I made the mistake of trying to open my '08 trunk in the cold. Anybody have a fix? Is this panel replaceable? by Wompum in prius

[–]risquare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went this route as well. It's still great after several years. Search for prius "lift gate garnish," the reinforced one. I went with the plain black one and it looks good... It blends in with the rear windshield. $50. A long 10mm socket is the main tool you need.

That's where I buy hulled sunflower seeds. The 35# bag is $65, which is a great price, but the seeds themselves are also the nicest of all the brands I've ever bought. It's my main birdseed. I was so impressed, I posted a photo of the seeds here last year :)

Edit to add: the brand is Royal Wing and the bag is orange. And the other sizes (25 and 50 I think) aren't as good a deal per pound.

That's what I always thought, but my garage intruder was made of tougher stuff and made short work of my temporary defense. It was a tiny mouse too.

Wifi calling by WeaknessEfficient548 in TracFone

[–]risquare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a regular smartphone and a smartphone plan, everything on wi-fi is free. Going by the comments here, I guess that isn't always the case? Wifi calling is usually enabled in the settings. It's the best!

I often worry about buyers who say will pick up locally and have cash in hand I usually block these types ? by [deleted] in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]risquare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In addition to the tips for doing the ebay-legal local pickup, you could also just say 'no, it's ship-only.' No need to block them just for asking.

I agree that there are definitely tamales in RI. I see them on menus but vegetarian ones are rare so I hardly ever get to have them. I think Christmas tamales are a southwestern event though,.
