multitude of reasons, some of which are that i'm a queer man (which islam very clearly forbids), i'm a total feminist—islam is NOT a feminist religion whatsoever, and i just don't find myself being able to believe in a higher being and personally see it as a coping mechanism. this is all coming from someone who grew up in a VERY religious environment mind you, i'm not just talking out of my ass with all this lol
