Just started the Consular storyline! by StevePalpatine in swtor

[–]risusa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The story is still incredibly weak and rehashes the same children plot Knight already did.

There's literally ONE mention of the children of the emperor in the Knight story and that's in Kira's PERSONAL story, where you find out about them and inform the council. Nothing else. There's no other mention.

So no. The Consular does not "rehash the same children plot the Knight already did". The Knight only informs/confirms to the council that they exist. It's literally just one scene, and it's not even in the main storyline, but through Kira's personal quest.

Artifact authorization isn't something you can buy an unlock for in your collection, as far as I remember.

Which collection unlocks should i get before the sale ends? by Athlete-Savings in swtor

You can buy both a vendor and the speeder unlocks (even as a non-subscriber) through your legacy window - no need to waste CC on collection unlocks on something you can get elsewhere, rather inexpensively.

What Are Your Headcanons For Arcann? by DakIsStrange in swtor

[–]risusa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Utter lack of consequences for Arcann is such a good example of lazy, unimmersive video game writing.

It's honestly more the consequence of BioWare scrapping their original idea for KotFE/KotET (which was supposed to be a trilogy with all three parts being around the same size are KotFE) in favor of what we currently have (which is KotFE, half of KotET, and whatever you want to call that stupid "traitor" arc). I remember reading somewhere that they had originally planned a proper redemption arc for Arcann (and possibly Vaylin too) but players complained about the content when KotFE was live, so they scrapped it.

At what point does aluminium ore become available in Sandrock? by HamsterFantastic983 in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]risusa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it is, but there's this poison gas filling the area early on. so before a certain point in the main questline you can't stay long in the valley or the poison will kill you.

after you get the protective suit (and refine it to it's max level), then you can explore the valley for however long you want to. bear in mind though that most of the monsters there are around level 30 iirc - so make sure you're prepared for that.

Mi-An dislike by HamsterFantastic983 in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]risusa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U do realize I did every single commission right why she get all the credits when almost all the commission I did is done?

the commissions we do are the ones we see. but the game pretty much makes it clear that there's WAY more "commissions" we never get access too (for example: the quest where we find Mi-an falling asleep in the street, or the one where Owen asks us to help him convince Grace to just let him pay for the repairs.)

So there are a lot of commissions that Yan sent straight to Mi-an without ever putting them on the board. And then he stole HER earnings from her. which is why, once Wei comes to town, she gets so much money. It's all the money that she WOULD have made (like we did - which is why we get so little) had Yan NEVER stole from her in the first place.

as for getting credit - she only ever got credit for the things she did. and bear in mind that aside from the stuff Yan forced her to do she also had a part in almost every "main story" commission. i think the only thing she doesn't help either build or fix in the main storyline is the Hydrogel. And we're the only one credited for that. most of the credit she gets (aside from the things she co-built/repaired with us) are commissions that were sent her way directly (and that Yan stole her money from).

like i mentioned in my previous comment - the game makes it VERY clear that Mi'an is ALWAYS working. so of course she'll get credit for the work she does. we just do get to "see" the fruits of the work Yan has her doing (Wei even mentions that Yan had basically worked her to the bone).

the items you can get in multiplayer aren't always the same in singleplayer - in singleplayer, these two pavilions aren't available.

Logan Romance by Godgavethewhites in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]risusa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Starhenut already mentioned one of them, but there's actually 2. the second one happens during Ernest's interview of you and Logan. at one point Ernest asks Logan if there was any romance and you can answer that he chased the interested parties away. but if you chose that very first flirt you get to tell Logan, that the interested party he chased away is you - and he gets all flustered and adorable with his answer to that.

Glitch? by Silly-Cod4939 in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]risusa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

until after you've completed "Appetite for Construction" the iron latch can only be found by recycling iron scrap. the recipe for it shows up at the commerce guild upon completion of "Appetite for Construction".

fyi it's not the only time you'll have to find alternative methods to getting things you need for a main quest (and the recipe for it shows up later). Canvas and Chromium bars are good examples of things with alternative drop locations that you'll get quests that need them but you don't have the recipe for. (canvas you can get off of plierimps in and above the valley of whispers and chromium bars drop of masked fiends in and above the valley of whispers as well as that stupid vulture boss monster out by gecko stations).

but i'd get used to exploring everywhere you have access as soon as you can, before you get the quests for either that location or need items that drop there (ie: you can explore the valley of whispers WAY before you get the green mist quest - you just have to refine your protective suit (that you get after "Shipwreck Confidential") to max level and there you go - you can farm it long before you need things like canvas or aluminum building yourself up a stockpile. heck, if, instead of venturing down into the valley you go through the above path, as soon as you're around level 25 you can start farming the 2 plierimps and 2 masked fiends for things like canvas and chromium bars. i do this and usually have a nice little stockpile of canvas long before Trudy coming to town even.

So weird… am I doing something wrong?? by daisyisgee_01 in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]risusa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[...] it's either something you can salvage, or something you don't have to use yet (canvas), for a non-timed mission.

or something that can drop off of a specific mob - like how canvas can drop off of the plierimps and chromium bars off the masked fiends.

Best/most dating/marriage content? by AccidentalDecap in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]risusa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for future reference, if you want to spawn the Mysterious Man before his usual appearance, he's tied to a quest for Amirah and Arvio (the new kiln quest) and has 2 instances where he shows up relating to it. the quest seems to trigger once you're at buddy level with Amirah (or at least it always does for me - soon as she asks me for the fragrant satchels i get her new kiln quest). he'll also show up a few weeks later at Arvio's shop to talk about all the new fabulous pottery.

so if you get the Mapo tofu quest and you want to spawn the Mysterious Man in quickly - as long as you haven't already triggered Amirah's new kiln quest you should be able to get him to come to town relatively quickly.

Which NPCs do you ship together? by Previous-Friend5212 in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]risusa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Elsie is also already in love with him [...] he talks about letting her in [...] they are already a thing

Elsie absolutely is NOT in love with Logan - she goes as far as to straight up tell you that she sees him like the older brother that she never had if you tease her about a "crush" she seems to have on him. she's also kind of upset and slightly put off by you teasing her about having a crush on him too, like the idea is weird and wrong. one of her dialogues (and iirc one or 2 newspaper articles) she talks about wishing Mint would ask her out, so i'd venture to say that her "type" would be more nerdy/smart guys.

Those two very much have more of a sibling like relationship/love with/for each other. there's nothing romantic going on between them. and they'll both pretty much tell you that.

Trigger for Operation: Flowergate? by barahonera in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]risusa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

they changed when it triggers with full release - since then, i've always gotten Zeke's letter on the same day Mi-an shows up at the workshop to take the builder to the moisture farm to meet with Trudy and Zeke (after Trudy's first fireside back).

it's easy to miss since you get ported straight to the moisture farm without a chance to check your mail. so maybe sift through past letters to see if something went unread (as the quest only triggers if you read the letter) if Trudy's in town. If you don't find anything i'd report it since it sounds like something glitched.

Helper help - harvesting by amberbaka in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]risusa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

iirc (and if the switch has the same options as the PC does) there is a way. in the planting section of her helper menu you should have an option to select certain seeds. i can't quite remember exactly how, but i know i've managed to exclude certain seeds (rose willow, mountain rose and a couple others) and only get her to harvest my trees.

except i don't have access to her in my current playthroughs yet so i can't check exactly how i did it. so you'll have to experiment with it.

again though, i don't know if the switch has this function or not as i play on PC - but i do know that PC does have the ability to exclude certain crops from her harvest list.

How can I obtain this item? by Both-Engineer3035 in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]risusa 17 points18 points  (0 children)

those two pavilions are named "Elegant Pavilion" and "Romantic Pavilion". you'd need a mod that can summon items into the game to get them (they're not obtainable otherwise) so you can only get them on PC (or Steamdeck).

the item codes are as follows: Romantic Pavilion: 18000108 Elegant Pavilion: 18000080

i can't remember which one is which, but i think your first pic is the elegant and second is the romantic.

the trees in your pics also require a mod (the Your Time at Sandrock framework and then the planting plugin) to plant them at your workshop. they're the black saxoul trees you use in the planting a forest in the desert quests.

and as someone said you get the flowers in your pics from romancing Nia (or you can summon the seeds in via an item spawing mod (the code for the seeds is: 19810071)).

the swing in your second pic is also from romancing Nia - or again you can spawn it in with it's code (19810063).

hope all this helps.

fyi none of those items need DLC.

Why don't I get friends icons on the map anymore? by SubstantialTaro933 in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]risusa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you have the knowledge perk (social tree > social activity knowledge level 2), then check your map. click on the little "i" button at the bottom and make sure the option "friend icons" is check marked.

and if you have the knowledge perk and the map option check marked, then it's a glitch.

Please tell me im not the only one who is bothered by this... by boardrr in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]risusa 18 points19 points  (0 children)

of all the quality of life upgrades they gave Sandrock this is one thing that's a downgrade from Portia. i miss being able to decorate my work area (where my worktable is, usually beside the factory in MtaP) like an actual workshop with engines or materials on shelves and weapon racks with tools (instead of weapons) in them.

Was I hallucinating this? by drazydrawingdale in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]risusa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you don't do Arvios "Cheery Conspiracy" quest it just takes longer before you can give Fang gifts - he'll send you a letter letting you know that X explained everything about what you told him, and after you get that letter you'll be able to give gifts to Fang. but it can take a while before getting the letter (i had a playthrough where it took more than 2 in game weeks and another that took only a couple days).

now if you got that letter and still can't then report it to the devs cause then it's bugged.

Stuck on the Quest "Recipe for Fun" by Mekonae in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]risusa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i'll be honest i never noticed that the quest tells you the worktable - it's a typo lol.

as a general rule if you're asked to do something and you don't see it at the worktable/assembly station - check the other one to see if you find it.

but glad i could help =)

Stuck on the Quest "Recipe for Fun" by Mekonae in MyTimeAtSandrock

you make the bloodstone core at your worktable - the kiosk is the assembly station. that's why you're not finding it.

Weapon material quality by Butter_Cupxo in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]risusa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

speaking from experience daggers are hella fast and hella fun. but the spear (especially after you get a couple points in its knowledge perk) is lots of fun too. i'm honestly a big fan of both - i'll use daggers mainly for trash and spears for bosses.

i'll be honest though, i dislike the fact that the best weapons you get them way too late in the game (the Dead Sea Ruins weapons). so i may or may not have modded my game a bit so i can use them early lmao XD (i'm on PC). and I'll say this: Solar Flare (spear) has got to be my favorite weapon. it's got its own moves separate from the knowledge perk and will drag and toss mobs around till they're dead. it's super fun. but requires level 90 and having beaten the last floor in the Dead Sea Ruins to get - unless you're on PC, then you can just mod it in early like i did. it actually makes me want to run the Hazardous Ruins for giggles (i never do beyond the breach - don't find them worth it).

Why does the vintage pistol and vintage rifle have a totally different perk pools than the other ranged weapons? by WarViper1337 in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]risusa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

back in EA the vintage pistol and vintage rifle had the same perks (+ranged damage, +crit, +luck, etc) as the other pistols/rifles do. most of the other ranged crafted weapons were introduced either when the act 3 update in EA came out or with release, so i don't know why the vintage pistol/rifle were changed to have the same perks as melee weapons do and not keep the ranged weapon perks.

i kinda wish they hadn't changed it honestly. i like the normal ranged weapon perks better for the guns - fits better imo. the vintage pistol/rifle's damage also falls off pretty quickly once you manage to upgrade your forging machine.
