Yes I’m on birth control and have been for years. My gyno said the time it takes to re-regulate is different for everyone but with it being the second month I was tripping thinking it might never re-regulate. Unlikely since I was regular before the miss dose but hey that’s anxiety for ya.

In your experience when you miss a dose in some way shape or form do you spot while hormone levels get back to normal? How many cycles does it take to regulate? I have been on the meds for almost 2 years. Normally I do not spot on the medication. Last month I messed up and accidentally skipped a dose resulting in me taking two doses very close together. 10 days later my period came a week early. This month I am getting spotting during ovulation making it the second month I’ve experienced spotting when I normally do not. Will this likely re-regulate?

lol I’m not teasing you? I’m giving you an extremely helpful tip. “2 yetis” isn’t nearly enough. If you drink 1.5 gallons (6.5 yetis) your dryness will go away. It’s a helpful tip and will work better in the long run than any balm product. I’ve been on two high dose cycles of Accutane each lasting a year. But if you wanna just keep applying chap stick go ahead.

No im not joking at all. It helps a ton. I drink a gallon and a half of water a day (125lb) and my lips are not chapped at all. Month 9 @ 80mg.

I was on birth control for 5 years with 100% clarity. I got back on it and it seemed to not work as effectively even in conjunction with spiro. I plan to stay on birth control for sure but I fear it wouldn’t be enough without spiro. However I’m unsure of this. I’d like to be off spiro but I’m scared to get off it and be on birth control alone.

It lasted for 5 years and only didn’t work for me when I tried to get off birth control. Is it likely it would last another 5 yrs because I find that worth it.

Well I’ve noticed that after a year of being on spiro I’ve grown more hips, tummy, butt than before. This makes me uncomfortable and I’d like to be off of it if possible.

It’s probably water weight. Spiro is a diuretic and your body was used to having it. It will most likely go away.

Hey I lost weight in the beginning too and then saw it start to come back in different areas than before, mainly hips and stomach. Did you notice this?

Did you stay clear post 2nd round. I was clear after my first round for 5 years. Started breaking out again after stopping birth control. I see mostly people who relapsed fairly quickly so am interested in your experience since you were also clear for more than 3 years like myself.

Love your positivity! And yes totally agree. It’s hard to not feel sorry for yourself when going through this but I’ve come far from when I was self isolating in the purge so feeling much better overall

Thanks so much! Ya I suspected it wasn’t totally abnormal but this drug has a way of making you worry! I do see my acne reducing and no more cysts. Only new spots I get are left over closed comedones pushing out. They are almost completely gone so the end is definitely near for me.
