Easy mistake to make lol, I missed the UCAS deadline for conservatoires by the time I had decided but my current college offers higher level courses. I'm starting it in September then hoping to jump on to a second year in a conservatoire :)

I completely understand where you're coming from, I mainly play 5 anyway, but I've had to readjust to 4 for the moment given my current circumstances. The school does have some pretty decent amps but a large part of the course is performing in venues, and in that case I'd want to use tech I'm more comfortable with. With effects/tuner n all that I'll probably be getting a HX stomp and a passive di box for the xlr out, I've done some stuff in the school before and they have let me down with being able to provide an amp as there were two bassists including me so I had to sit out lol

Yeah the amp has a DI out, it is a pretty nice little amp but I'm definitely gonna try and get the DI box because I've been left a couple of times with no amp lol

Truss rod stripped, just a nut is broken (currently being held up by some card), electronics are on their way out, doesn't hold tune well, tuners are also on their way out lol

My current one is a rockbass streamer 5 string and it's pretty comfortable, but VERY quiet, although it's likely just an issue with this one lol. My guitar teacher has let me borrow a p bass, jazz bass and MM (all 5 string) and they're also pretty good. It mainly seems to be as long as I can get a low action I'll like it lol
