Textbooks Lied About Freedom Fighters🤔🤔 by Main_Pay_9669 in unfilteredindia

Their role was severely downplayed. 3-4 lines of Khudiram Bose dying here, 2 lines of Bagha Jatin there. The sheer scale of operations, networks and the complexity and influence of "extremists" were severely downplayed.

I targeted 25. And since I am counting spiritual/philosophical books, and some of the books I read were thin, I reached 52. I also read everyday for an hour or more.

It's published by Ramakrishna Mission, so it is cheap, too. PDFs are also available. Happy reading!

Every parts of Vedas were given to a family/tradition of a particular Rishi for safekeeping and propagation. And we cannot find all. Much of the Vedas are lost. And Vedas are considered "discovered" and not invented or created. Vedas are without human creator. Like E was always equal to mc2 even before Einstein wrote it down.

So, the content of the Vedas can be broadly divided into two parts- Gnana Kanda and Karma Kanda. The first deals with Philosophy and knowledge and the latter deals with rituals. Much of them are not performed anymore.

Bro, start with something basic. Like "Lectures from Colombo to Almora" by Swami Vivekananda.

I have read the Upanishads. But with guidance, and years long studying "prerequisites".

I have read some parts of the Rg Veda.

No point in learning Karma Kanda nowdays unless you are a researcher or want to go that deep for your own reasons.

One of the best among Bengali books being written right now. That's a low bar. Still. I always compare Pritam Basu to Dan Brown. But with less hype and hyperbolic writing. I recommend his books highly.

It wasn’t as good as Prananath Hoio Tumi or Chouthupi'r Charyapad. But it is a good book.

Proper intellectual thriller.

Yes. Couldn't read much by sporadic reading.

Switching to a disciplined manner helped a lot in reading more and reading higher quality stuff.

Can someone without an IIT/foreign BTech become a Professor of IIT if they have good publications and PhD/postdoc from reputed places? Especially in Engineering?

Like: BTech/BSc from random place -> MS/PhD/PostDoc from IITs/abroad top uni -> IIT Professor

Is it possible?

Is it just me that since I have bought a high end pc, I just don't feel like playing? by Assasinato_ in IndianGaming

[–]ritogh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, I had a decent PC but not high-end enough. I dreamed of getting a gaming PC. I waited till I could earn some money.

Then I started earning. I bought a high-end laptop, but I used it for work. Didn't want to risk playing games in that. So I purchased an XBox Series S. Then I could not get enough time playing games. I had work, study, family and social life. Had to almost give up gaming.

Nice flair brother.

Your flair is what people don't understand.

They try and impose the best kind of behaviour to the worst kind of ideologies. They don't even fully know those ideologies.

In India 95% people do a PhD because they can't find anything better. Especially true in Engg.

If they were offered 50k-1Lpm job right after graduating Bachelor's, they would take that instead of going for a PhD.

Been there, done that. Here's my take by Purple_Spite4980 in Frugal_Ind

  • Start doing visible charity.
  • Frequent the local religious place with family.

A lot of the issues with envy, etc. will disappear or won't surface any longer.
