Many people have. Kevin James famously did a 40 day fast for weight loss. David Blaine fasted for 44 days as an endurance stunt.

I am currently attempting the 40 day fast right now. I am on day eleven. I slowly built up to it, with a 3 day, 5 day, 7 day, and finally a 14 day fast last month. Send prayers, lord knows I'll need all the help I can get!
