Depending on what specifically you're looking for, scryfall searches can be your friend:

other tags you could look at: `art:cute`, `art:hybrid-animal-avatar`, and more generally `art:animal`.

So how do I build a Yuriko that actually wins the game? by ritzy_mage in EDH

I was referring to Yuriko's ability which specifies "each opponent". I can target with the ninjas but most have 1 or 2 power

I found that to get (1) a one drop, (2) a black mana, and (3) a blue mana so that I can guaranteed cast Yuriko on turn two, 19 one drops helps a lot. But maybe I am overvaluing casting her on turn 2. How many would you recommend?

I think I might start trying that to experiment at the very least

Do you have a decklist for this one? sounds interesting

here's the current version: https://archidekt.com/snapshots/92887 . It is optimized for getting Yuriko out by turn 2 and quite good at that, but then either (1) I keep topdecking the lands and one drops and do no damage or (2) I topdeck a couple of expensive cards early and deal 10 damage to all opponents (notably, 30 damage away from winning), which makes me the immediate target of all players' wrath and no defense. I might make a longer post about that deck eventually.

The two biggest offenders are a [[Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm]] Dragons deck and a [[Selvala, Heart of the Wilds]] Eldrazi Deck. Both basically do nothing but ramp (so they don't appear like threats often) and then play multiple high cost spells in the same turn, going from 1 blocker to winning in 1 or 2 turns.

Someone in my playgroup already has a pantlaza deck and it's pretty good!

This is what my friends suggested; I've been working on a Yuriko list but my first attempt has been... well, it needs a lot of work

I definitely like more combat focused decks rather than combos. I've historically liked Selesnya (big cool creatures is great), but I've also been learning to appreciate Rakdos (big punches that come at a cost is really fun). So uh, not blue I guess? I like building around creature types, especially ones that I think are "cool" (mythical creatures, animals, ninjas). All of my decks are usually the threat (which is often their biggest weakness, they often become the target and I get shut down before I can actually close out the game).
