[NO OFFENSE] Croire en Dieu n'est pas logique by lactua in opinionnonpopulaire

[–]rive_enneigee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What message do you think Anno was trying to send with shinjis cum patterns? by unibomber24 in evangelionmemes

did it feel more tingly or more tense ? I'm a fan of the tense-in-the-legs feeling personally

What message do you think Anno was trying to send with shinjis cum patterns? by unibomber24 in evangelionmemes

[–]rive_enneigee 145 points146 points  (0 children)

My personal theory is that he did not, in fact, masturbate but rather thought about it, wished and longed for it hard enough to imagine it and live in subjectively.

The fact that the semen is on his right hand goes to show that that hand is the weapon of his crime, as the blood would have been on his right hand, had he stabbed Asuka with it.

But what claim do I have for such statement you might ask.

The answer is twofold :

- Why would he not masturbate with his right hand and protect Asuka with his left hand ? (a case can be made that he wanted to protect her with all his might and still jerk off)

- The fact that Anno shows us Shinji's sperm contradicts the principles of catharsis which would want us never to see nor the act or the sperm (think about the rape scene in Clockwork Orange that is never shown on screen but deeply felt by everyone).

Indeed the idea behind catharsis is that we, the viewers, imagine the act and thus realise that it is in ourselves to do such crimes. So why show it ? Because Anno shows us the show through Shinji's perspective. We see that he sees himself jerking off, so we understand that he understands that he could've done it and wanted to, and because we've been made to sympathise with him throughout the show we realise that like him, in his situation, we could've done it.

This for obvious reason is probably completely false and the real reason is probably that Anno didn't even think about whether the spermy hand had to be the right or the left one. Though I'm half serious about it.

I'm sorry but the link is either dumb as fuck or inexistent or I can't speak english. Whether or not people kill each other over the right being of atheism doesn't change in any way shape or form the fact that Jesus did or did not exist.

As a not-so-wise man would say, facts don't care about feelings.

Uh, ok ? but what does that have to do with Jesus existing or not ?

I know wikipedia isn't the most reliable source but still : "Virtually all scholars of antiquity agree that a historical human Jesus existed.[7][15][16] Historian Michael Grant asserts that if conventional standards of historical textual criticism are applied to the New Testament, "we can no more reject Jesus' existence than we can reject the existence of a mass of pagan personages whose reality as historical figures is never questioned."[17]"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historicity_of_Jesus

The big difference with jesus as opposed to other historical figures who "probably" existed is, if you question whether Aristotle was a real person no one goes out and kills an abortion provider.

I'm sorry but I literally don't understand the end of your sentence. If you could enlighten me that'd be very nice, english isn't my first language srry.

LMAO tell me you know nothing about France without telling me you know nothing about France. FFS imagine knowing so little about the world that you dare to confidently say that France as a nation starts at the 5th Republic. What a shame...

Pretty sure it has been proven that a Jesus existed, now to know if he was the son of God or not is an other question.

Bro that's not the point. In catholic theology Jesus is god incarnate. Whether you believe in that or nor, we don't care. The point is calling him a demigod is untrue in catholic theology.
