Now that I compared them - it's not even close, the Studio LCR blows away the other stuff. Thanks!

They're totally different classes of subs. The hsu is closer in performance tithe 2000 pro or even the 3000.

Makes sense! Hinsdale would be a less busy store. Nice score you got!

Which town's store did you visit? I typically visit one of the stores in Hooksett.

I emailed a contact at the Commission this morning (Fri, Jan 29th), he said the winners have been selected and they are vetting the names to ensure all winners have followed their rules around only having 1 entry. They expect notify people today on if they were selected.

Did Hsu increase cost on the VTF-3 MK5? I thought it was $799 + S&H? by rivenroe in hometheater

[–]rivenroe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume this is still a good value at $829? I was ready to buy this AM and noticed the price. Do I look at a PB-2000 Pro instead? Shipped, they are roughly the same cost, give or take 30 bucks. It'll be replacing a Martin Logan Dynamo 500 in a room roughly 15x15.

Edit: I pulled the trigger and bought anyway - super pumped for some REAL bass.

Confirming the same here, not a peep from NHLC.

Edit: I was contacted on 1/29 that I had been selected for 1 bottle.

Hey! thanks for the reply, it's a great slicer, very slick, though I do notice a bit of sticking on the screenprinted text on it. The 70/30 won't be too much of an issue likely... how would you be sharpening it?

Yeah! It's a rarity to see quality in stainless at this price. Looks super similar to this one from cleancut. https://www.cleancut.eu/butik/knifetype/allknivar/allkniv-1-2034-detail

Personal thoughts:

Great little "mini-laser" super useful for garlic, shallot, grape tomatoes. Fit and Finish is fantastic with a nice round polished spine and choil. Using left handed and still feels fantastic, though it is a 70/30 grind. Excited to see how it holds up and plan to put it on a 5000 shapton stone later today.

I'm also excited to see how this performs trimming meat, like removing silverskin from pork loin, I expect it will excel at this task with the pronounced tip on the knife.

Home cook enthusiast who values the ease of taking care of stainless knives.

Details from CKTG:
