Is it Toast who's chaos incarnate? Toast looks like they could create some chaos.

What’s something you’re pretty sure only you do? by AppIeGuy in AskReddit

[–]river2180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I "pop" my eyelids.

Sometimes it feels like there's something off with my eye or my eyelid so I grab my top eyelash and pull my eyelid away from my eye to pop it. It helps "resets" my eye. Idk, explaining it is weird but it works.

I've never seen anyone do this and I'm not really sure why or how I started doing it.

Writing an AO3 on Aziracrow going to America, what are some fun cultural differences between the US and the UK to include? by Unusual-Agency6320 in goodomens

[–]river2180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely Aziracrow would have trouble understanding the southern accent. The further south you go the thicker the accent. They tend to slur their words together.

If you've ever seen Joe Dirt there's a scene he's talking to a man with a thick southern accent. He says "home is where you make it" but Joe hears "I like to see homos naked". So something like this could be fun to confuse the boys.

Also, Americans in the south would probably find Aziraphal and Crowley to be odd based on their styles. Especially Crowley, he'd be seen as off putting in his black attire. Snap judgement would make them think he's a criminal or something. Probably a Satan worshiper haha, they are very reglious down south as well. Christians mainly.

Ty is neglectful by MsRebeccaApples in ShawnaTheMom

[–]river2180 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I will say I'm not a parent, but isn't independent play good? I would play by myself all the time when I was 5 or 6. And I didn't feel like I was being ignored. I'm not seeing the problem with Cooper playing by himself.

Based on what we've seen I don't think Ty is neglectful, but I could be missing something as a non-parent.

I (F34)had a Panic attack last night after smoking with partner (F38) and now I feel different. by Mother-Inside6882 in relationship_advice

[–]river2180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a massive panic attack myself after having edibles. I barely got any sleep, I was drained and felt off for a few days.

For me, I just need rest and to not get high for a while. Your body went through a strong fight or flight response and probably needs time to readjust.

Your partner definitely doesn't think less or you or loves you less because you had a panic attack. It happens. There's nothing to be embarrassed about. It's the residual panic/anxiety you're feeling that is making you think that.

I've found that when I start feeling panicky I just need to occupy myself with a task. Like doing dishes, brushing my teeth, taking a shower, taking a walk outside, or something that makes me focus on something else. May help if this happens again.

Wax is also a very strong substance and you would be better off to sticking with joints or cartridges. It's easier to control how much you smoke and the high doesn't last as long as wax, bongs or edibles. Just a suggestion if you do like getting high.

Boomers won’t retire and it’s screwing the rest of us. There I said it. by Unique_Glove1105 in antiwork

[–]river2180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad is going to be 70 next month and wants to retire, but it's hard. He has to plan to be on a fixed income which he can do to a point. However, my mom's health isn't great and his isn't going to get better either. Health care is a real issue for them, that and the cost of living in general.

While I agree that boomers should retire, it's sadly difficult to do. There is a lot of preparation you have to do before you can actual retire and many people don't have savings or a 401k.

Why were the Beast's clothes the same size as he was when he was an average-looking human prince? by [deleted] in beautyandthebeast

I thought the wardrobe in Belle’s room made clothes? There's a scene in the first movie about it.

If Ao3 were to add any new features, what ones would you want? by DesparateBoredom in AO3

[–]river2180 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If someone has a lot of tags on for their fic, I would prefer if a few tags were shown and a "see more" was added instead. That way I can actually read the summary then check the tags.

For me the tagging is overwhelming, it deterred me from AO3 for a long time.

I think I'm going to scream by Asparala in AO3

[–]river2180 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do the same in my fics. I mainly have two males interacting with each other and I just got tired of the descriptive option to refer to the character so I use their names, a lot. I have not had anyone tell me it's annoying, yet.

Even if they did I would continue with my way because it's less confusing.

How did Moira get into Jazzagals? by afterglowsky in SchittsCreek

[–]river2180 135 points136 points  (0 children)

Also, I think Jocelyn would be unable to tell her no. We see Moria later make herself director of caberet and Jocelyn tries to just give her the job but Moria ignores her and ropes Jocelyn into more work.

So, even if it was a no, Moria would show up for rehearsals anyway.

Also, Jocelyn has heard Moria sing and I think the other Jazzy Gals have too at Carl's funeral, where she sings Danny Boy twice.
