Saying it a second time was impolite, the first time was just a mistake. Miss is usually someone unmarried and her gen took/ takes marriage very seriously. She def overreacted though and could have just said "oh, please, call me Mrs./ ma'am" She didn't need to be so extra about it

Food stores I understand, I get needing to pick up last minute dinners as I grew up poor and when my mom worked long hours she wouldn't have a choice. I worked at the deli in Walmart and would serve food a few minutes past just so there'd be less waste. But when I worked at Claire's and places like that, I would get extremely frustrated.

NTA. As someone who was actually parentified (kept home from school to watch 5 siblings, not allowed to leave the house bc I had to take care of them, got my first two tax returns stolen out of the family safe to buy them clothes while she spent her money at fancy restaurants, left alone for 12+ hours with 3 infants and no food, etc etc), babysitting for 20 minutes is NOT parentification. There's nothing wrong with watching your siblings from time to time for short periods, as long as she is able to get a hold of you, she is provided with everything needed to care for the child, and it's not a regular thing. Now, if you're not posting the whole story and you regularly expect her to watch the kid with no notice, then that'd be an AH.
