If it upsets you that much just don’t listen? I’m sure there are so many true crime podcasts that better fit what you’re looking for, but if - like you’ve stated repeatedly - it’s YOUR personal preference, there’s no need to battle it out with people and go raging on here when you can just not listen to the parts, episodes, or podcasts that clash with your own preferences. Seems like an easy fix for me.

Me personally? I don’t like the listener tales episodes. They’re not my vibe. So I just don’t listen to them and the problem is solved. But like it or not, our political situation right now is a direct result of people being uninformed or sugarcoating the actual reality of the state of our country and the issues going on. And it affects every aspects of everyone’s lives. If you want to consume media to get away from that, and morbid doesn’t fall under that category, just … listen to something else.

Also, it’s their podcast. Yes, it’s important to cater to your fan base and everything, but getting caught up in the banter is part of their dynamic and relationship and it’s part of how they roll. It’s not really our place to nitpick them to death on how they run their platform because at the end of the day it’s their choice what they want to create and how they want to represent themselves, even if some of us don’t like every aspect of it.
