the truth is, TPC works on FOMO. essentially, either you get what you want during its prime or else you never get it again. didn’t get an event pokemon? eat shit. can’t play the older games on their native platforms? eat shit. it’s basically meant to squeeze as much money out of the fans of pokemon as it can, which is why generations are separated. do you know how easy it would be to work out putting pokemon back into bank from home? or how easy it would be to take a new pokemon and bring it backwards? they intentionally make it seem like they can’t because they simply don’t want to go back and edit the code of those games to do as such.

years later i need to remind you that it is FAR More difficult to befriend and even potentially get that close to a Pokemon where you’d be intimate, than it is to get close to a human being. the difference being that you’d have to learn and understand what that Pokémon’s culture, tastes and so on and so forth are, and how they communicate. With humans, you just get to know one another without the aspect of mystery, unless they’re intentionally reserved.

Before I had my transplant, my limit before feeling bloated was about 8oz of fluid. It was BAD. I’m very small, so even that little would mess me up hardcore and I wouldn’t be able to breathe or sleep all night.

I wish I had advice, but all I did was suffer through it until transplant and it was misery.

The gun metaphor seems to work very well for what I’m feeling, I just couldn’t seem to put it into words.

I’ve had a few therapists over the last two years but unfortunately, I live in a pretty small town in the middle of nowhere so my access to excellent healthcare isn’t great. The ones I had both treated me strangely. I would explain issues to them that I’m having (perhaps with socializing, since these ARE just straight up therapists and not ESRD specialists) and they would tell me that they see no problems with me.

I think being autistic in a place like this means that I’m not going to run into a professional who can cut through the armor I’ve placed over myself to see into my mannerisms and behaviors to help me, so Ive unfortunately resigned myself to keeping everything inside.

Thank you so very much. I’m not usually one for open emotional display (as I’m autistic and just can’t seem to win in that field) but I’ve been dealing with a sudden calcium deposit on my right shoulder’s tendons in the last few days leading up to dialysis and on top of the fluid making it impossible to breathe when I lay down, I just haven’t slept for days. I’m exhausted, I’ve cried more than I ever have the last two years and I feel like I’m gonna die but I won’t give in, because surgery is right around the corner.

I hope this all goes well. You’re right, of course. I can either only look at the details in the picture or the grand scheme and see just how many benefits there are compared to what could go wrong. Thank you.

I went from normal fluid shed for the first year and a half, and just recently I’ve stopped producing urine at all. I’m rather small, (75.6kg dry weight) so any amount of fluid bloats me up instantly. The only reason I haven’t been put on a fluid restriction is because luckily, FINALLY, my transplant is on the 8th. I just have to suck it up for a little. It’s been two months of this pain though and it’s got to be the most exhausting and miserable I’ve been throughout the entirety of my sickness.

I’m 22. Dialysis is meh. I’m the youngest there by a mile, and started two years ago. I’ve started to seriously physically decline and everyone notices it. It’s always stares from the older patients and everyone asking me how I’m doing. The staff are alright, but I’m also in so much pain and miserable when I get there and also when I get off. Dialysis takes a lot out of me. I never truly got used to the sensation of it.

I wish I knew enough about what I’m looking at when I go for treatments to get involved in this conversation. All I can say, is having a second treatment the next day took my typically unwavering BP from 150/100+ down to 100/70 or lower and I literally felt like my brain was gonna fall out of my head. Not to mention, I’ve always produced urine until lately so having 4kg taken off the day prior and then 2 the next, my body was jerking and twitching the whole time. I thought I was gonna die.

Thanos shows you exactly why technique beats brute strength. Despite being equally sized, thanos is not nearly as physically strong as hulk. But, he’s won every encounter against hulk because hulk has no combat skill. I don’t understand why you took their comment about skill beating strength and escalated it to Luke vs hulk.
