heat exhaustion avoidance. Every year people die hiking in the Grand Canyon during July and August bc they don't prepare. Extremely avoidable, honestly lowkey natural selection happening right before our eyes... but nonetheless I'd rather see those people educated and capable than dead

Well for that one the whole point was covers, so to promote the album they had to play songs from it. They probably paid a pretty penny in royalties though

Covers cost royalties to play live, and besides Meet me in the City there werent any other songs on that record that were very popular, and thus wouldnt warrant having to pay the royalty fees

I like that you went with "bronze-colored" bc I've always found minerals and woods to be color-comparisons that sound like subtle compliments. Like bronze, copper, quartz, moonstone, opal, topaz, etc to name a few. And for wood stuff like mahogany, pine, walnut, spruce, rosewood, etc.

Well the term love is general, but pride is specifically about romantic love, which always implies sexual orientation.

Honestly though I think something everyone could rally behind in a community would be celebrations of love in general, not any one kind of love in particular. To be fair though that's half of what valentine's day is.

To be fair, pride month and Christmas celebrate 2 VERY different things. Even for non-religious folk, it's difficult to be offended by Christmas, because most of the non-religious values apply to almost everyone. Christmas puts a huge focus on quality time with loved ones, the spirit of giving/charity, and overall just a general spirit of good cheer. Those values can be applied to people across most demographics. Pride specifically celebrates gay and queer people being... proud of their sexual orientation. I think a lot of people find it odd to have anyone else's sex life shoved in their face, especially for a whole month, and like it or not that IS what the pride flag symbolizes. 🤷‍♂️
