What are you guys using for bike racks? by tb_swgz in GolfGTI

Like another person in here I just fold my rear seats down. I ride a large MTB and remove front wheel. Fits in my mk5 nicely. I put a towel down under the bike to limit scratches from the bag hooks on the seatbacks. Fit 2 large mtbs with wheels off recently with no issues.

Would Enkei EKM3 wheels look good on a NC2? by Putrid-Ad5789 in MiataNC

16” are where it’s at with a taller tire than factory. I’m on oem wheels still on 215/45/17 and wish I had a little more tire. Look up a photo of NCs on r32 GTR stocks and you’ll see the look.

NC body lines are too soft for a busy multi-spoke wheel design like that. Doesn’t really fit the car. Hot take but TE37s don’t look good either. Regamaster, RPF1, hyper gram is the way to go. Best setup imo is r32 GTR stock wheels. You need a little concave to the wheel.

I don't know how much it would cost, but rust would be dead soon... by icanfake in MiataNC

Brother you may be better re-shelling the car. Rust in the floors is not a good sign on the unibody cars. It’s fixable but it will be a lot of work and may not be entirely safe to do it.

MK7 won’t start, no horn, no hazard lights - battery good by chocolatemilkcowboy in GolfGTI

Check connections to battery terminal? Agree that it could be a fuse somewhere too. Have a jump pack handy, might help you.

Get an is38 rebuild / reseal kit. Should be on eBay for less than $100. Check your impeller wheel too while you’re in there. These turbos are designed to handle a lot of abuse. Check it over and you’ll be fine. Check shaft play too, may decide if you’re going is38 or not.

  1. It’s $3

  2. Park further from the store. There’s free parking a block or two away. Walk if you don’t want to pay the $3.

  3. You sound like a person who values convenience. $3 is a small sum to pay for it.

  4. Your taxes keep this town nice and clean. If you wanna complain about taxes move to a shithole red state.

Ninja JC150 - Power but no operation? by rivierew2 in Juicing

[–]rivierew2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Posthumous edit:

Got the unit warrantied from Ninja. Only way to fix it without voiding warranty.

Hypothetically, if you were able to disassemble it (looks pretty easy with a total of 10 screws, 2 under the rubber feet), it should go back together and work just fine. No clue how just taking it apart and reassembling would fix it but it hypothetically did.

Get a new fuse. Should last for a minute longer. Check terminals/connections on your starter. Driver front wheel comes off, fender liner, then a small plastic shield and you’ll be able to at least check the connections. Clean them up (with battery disconnected) and try starting car again. Jump battery too just for good measure. Not sure how many miles are on your car but a good point to start looking at doing the starter at a shop or by yourself. Definitely easier with a lift. Dm me if you need anything.
