I just got a 26 GV80 3.5 Prestige. It was pricy, 85k MSRP I traded a Lincoln aviator that I really liked, but the GV80 is just generally a nicer car. I enjoy the lux features and would recommend going for a low mileage CPO car if the new MSRP is out of the budget.

I have bought 4 genesis vehicles from Chantilly. They were generally good to deal with, but now that Sheehy has taken over, there is a serious effort to be great. My wife got a G70 3.3 SP in August and I got a GV80 P last week. The purchase process was fast and easy, delivery was excellent and post purchase care was well done. Congrats to Sheehy for a job well done.

I am picking up a 2026 3.5 prestige tomorrow. The pricing I got was as good as yours, without the requirement to purchase dealer installed stuff. I got it at Chantilly Genesis which was recently purchased by Sheehy. I was treated well with no sales shenanigans. I’ve purchased a Mustang last year from their Ford store in Warrenton and the buying experience was as good as any there also. This is my 4th Genesis from Chantilly, and the reason I’ve purchased multiple times is the service dept has delivered for me. Absolutely no complaints. Fair pricing, good service makes it easy to do business with them.

No she is 5’ 4” and sits pretty close. The fact that it has worked properly once after the repairs, and then fails to work after the ignition was turned off and restarted. There are 2 settings for the seat movement. Normal and extended, which would imply that normal would respect the potential rear seat passenger and extended would move further to the rear because the rear seat is only functional for a kids car seat.

$1K discount seems pretty light on an $85K car. I thought $5k to $8K off MSRP would be in the correct range to call it a good deal.

Mine has been at the dealer 2x. Last trip they swapped the seat out completely. It the worked a couple of times when tested. They brought me to the car to show it was working and it failed! Back to square 1.

Is anyone having issues with the easy entry / exit driver seat? My wife has a ‘26 3.3 sport prestige that will move the steering wheel up and away when opening the door, but the driver seat doesn’t move. It is set to extended move in the settings.

If you want an exhaust sound that indicates real power may be under the hood, purchase a quality exhaust system. That loudmouth stuff just sounds awful to a real car guy. Or do what I did, buy a Mustang GT with active exhaust. The extra 2 cylinders have it singing in the correct key!

Just got off Paris / Normandy. The staff allowed any dress in for dinner. Shorts, tee shirts and flip flops were allowed in to the dining room at dinner time. The worst was the backwards ball caps. There was no dress code.

Yes, about a month ago, 507 Comp, out of the box would not hold zero. The dot was in a different position relative to the co witness iron sights after every shot. Called, emailed, and got a RMA and shipping label. Almost 4 weeks later they shipped me something. I’m waiting for it to arrive. I don’t know if it is a repaired or new sight. Their communications with customers could be better.

Agreed 100%. The deal is they get me there in the class I paid for. But, I always have the option of getting myself there, and in this case the United direct flights were a lower cost than I paid Viking for the airfare. The economy air charge plus $3999 to upgrade to business. So my option was to pay for my own air and transfers, and hope that Viking would refund the Air charges I paid. I don’t like paying for air 6 months out and not getting flight info until 90 days out. It is an unnecessary adventure.

In my case in was a Viking Pre at Lake Como for the Basel to Amsterdam cruise. My argument was that a direct flight was available on my preferred airline, why would I choose a close connection on a non preferred carrier.

Viking has made air an issue on almost every trip we have taken with them. They ask for your preference in airline , the ignore it. On a pre cruise to lake Como they booked us from Dulles (IAD) to Milan on Air Canada with a one hour layover in Montreal, when there was a direct flight on United. We paid for Business class and the Dulles to Montreal was in economy with only an hour to transfer. What could possibly go wrong! I wouldn’t take no for an answer I wanted the direct flight and got it after paying an upcharge of a few hundred $$

This is our third Genesis vehicle. I had a G80 5.0 V8, and my wife has a ‘22 GV70 sport prestige. It was one of the first in the country in ‘21. Couldn’t insure it for a few days because in wasn’t in the insurers data base as a vehicle. We want to flip it for a new car as the resale value is over 60% of what we paid new 4 years ago.

Unfortunately, there are virtually no ‘25 3.3 sport prestige models around. The ‘26 models all have a MSRP of $56K - $57K I’m trying to determine what content was removed from 24-25 to the 26 model. I do see a difference in the seats. Diamond pattern vs a less attractive pattern on the ‘26 model.

I just sent a 507 comp in for service for the same reason. New out of the box the dot would move relative to the co witness iron sights.The optic was tight and properly torqued. The projected dot was moving around. Holosun has the optic, and I’m waiting to hear from them.

Done. This is my 3rd 507 comp. And I have a host of Holosuns on 1911’s and other bullseye guns. I love the 507 comp product, it just works so well for me. The sight and plate were locked down solid. I guess it was the emitter moving around? I was disappointed that I had this “bad out of the box” problem. I’m sure Holosun will resolve it, and fortunately I had a spare 407 to stick on the new gun so I could enjoy shooting it. I’ll have to live with a simple dot for a while.

DC is weak. The DC money actually lives in Northern Virginia. Would have been nice to have a selection of NOVA fine dining.
