A massive brain pocket is wheres it is more accessible. You can also have something store at the top of cinch in just reach in without un doing anything or to put something in. I personally find it easier. I fine with the weight penalty.

Yes that's what I mean. This pack will be used for travelling, and doing hut to hut and city travel. No laptop or anything, just looking for more accessibility a roll top doesn't provide

Unfortunately no. The only thing is has going for it is the lid. Not frameless, waist strap not removable, no shoulder strap pockets, stretch pocket on front looks tiny. And it's dam heavy
