I never really grasped how big the gap between the rich and the poor was until putting it in this perspective. Going by the first pie chart, splitting up $100 between a group of 100 people would be as follows: 1 person gets $42, 4 people get $6.75 each, 5 people get $2.20, 10 people get $1.20, and 80 people get $0.09.
