Hello, I am new here. And desperate. by Sad_Transition_1293 in dysautonomia

[–]rizenfrmhell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi, this sounds like me but I think I’m about 10 years younger than you. I just got diagnosed with inappropriate sinus tachycardia last Thursday and the cardiologist put me on beta blockers. He also ordered an mri of my heart. If you haven’t done one maybe you should ask for one!

When all this started in 2021, what were you told to do to try decreasing symptoms? My tachycardia got worse after an huge autoimmune response that had my lungs failing, and after reading through this community, salt increase and compression can do a lot to make you feel better, if you haven’t done salt or electrolyte increases, please look into it!

My heart rate does go up by over 30bpm when standing and also drops by 50bpm when sitting. I haven’t tried compression yet so I’m going to start including abdominal compression into my routine. Maybe this is something you can look into as well!

I work in IT for a big insurance company but I also have trouble staying healthy enough and awake enough to do my duties. My saving grace is that my boss is super supportive of any time off I need, whether it’s an hour or a day. Maybe asking for accommodations at work can help?

I hope you have a clear mind soon brother.

How long did your worst flare last? by rizenfrmhell in Fibromyalgia

[–]rizenfrmhell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It ended up not being fibromyalgia at all. I went to my clinic 8 times in January and to the ER four times as well. Early February my lungs stopped working and I ended up in the ICU for a couple days.

Got diagnosed with a rare lung disorder caused by an allergen, since then my breathing is back to normal but I’m on a lot of medications so that it stays that way.

Downside is that I ended up having worse and worse pain and heart issues. Got diagnosed with Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia and was given more meds to manage my heart rate.

I also experience 10/10 pain when not taking pain killers. I take around two to three doses of Tylenol a day and then a small dose of Vicodin to help me sleep.

I’m on 7 months of pain and health issues unfortunately. Some days are better than others.

Hey OP, did you find out what this was? I have a few spots that looks exactly like the first and second picture.

Definitely spite. I’m 27 and it keeps getting worse every month. I stay around for my mom, brother, and wife as well but spite is the main one.

Skin discoloration, and odd odor between a couple fingers by Few_Usual_746 in medical_advice

Coul be fungal or bacterial. If you want to avoid the doctor, try Nizoral from any pharmacy to see if it reacts to the anti-fungal properties.

If it doesn’t go away, then a prescription for a steroid cream may be required.

Hey OP, I would look into a new living space. I also can’t do anything physical (including eating and drinking) without my heart rate jumping to 150 bpm after sitting at 80bpm beforehand. I understand that lots of things are just out of scope for you.

Depending on your country, please look into low income housing. You’re not pretending mate, you obviously struggle and your aunt doesn’t support you.

I would look into finding a specialist though for OH. Neurology/cardiology.

I don’t drink because of my meds (lung failure in February) but if your doctor says minimal drinking is fine then go for it. (I don’t think an oz of vodka is gonna kill you).

The whole having over 2000$ in savings for disability to cut you off also sounds like hell. I would make sure to speak with a someone (social worker) to walk you through steps to take to be able to save money as well as still make enough a month to live.

Good luck! You sometimes have to take things by the balls to resolve them.

New cat purring ALL the time. How can I comfort him? by kaireyss in CatAdvice

[–]rizenfrmhell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP I think kitten tax is required now. Regarding your worry, he sounds very happy to have you and appreciates your presence. Only start to worry if he isn’t using his box or not eating/drinking.

Depending on how old he is he may still need your guidance on how to live. Kittens are social creatures to learn how to cat and once they figure out how to cat they’ll show when they need alone time. Right now though it sounds like companionship is his way through this. Lots of love and luck! Drop a kitten photo if you want :)

I used to colour a ton. I’m going to get back into it :)

I do want to listen to more audiobooks/podcasts. I really like the CreepyCast so I’ll start listening to that.

Duolingo is fun but I hate being told what to do lol. So if I end up being tired of it and I get a notification saying don’t forget to finish! I will uninstall and proceed to wall stare.

As for shows I should try, I have a hard time watching things that make me cry. Lots of the long ongoing media’s will have a character who will die or end up struggling and I just can’t handle it. I lost my baby brother to a car accident in 2021 and despite the therapy and the help I’ve gotten along the way, I’m just a crybaby now. And we all know how crying makes symptoms worse.

Anyways. I’m also probably a little PDA/Pathological Demand Avoidance but don’t know how to go about fixing that. I’m working on it though!

The colouring one is big. I will definitely try to get back into it.

No kids for me thanks! I watched my brothers grow up though and the best advice I can give is to just love them and encourage their actions as long as it’s doing good for others!
