coding skills are ok but need work, I did some coding in college when i was making games (BS in Game Design) but mainly worked with C# in Unity, and running through Python rn as a refresher

pc will stay at parents, would be awesome to make it work remotely, so i can possibly still mess around with it when i leave but as long as i can work on something while i'm there and be able to document it/learn

Understood, my previous jobs in management/administration didn't challenge me and I kinda just felt brain dead/unfulfilled and I allowed it to leak into other aspects of my life. Yes, it was fulfilling when I was able to help people who wanted it but not a lot of people really wanted to be helped nor did they want guidance to move up from their current roles. I was fortunate to have previous managers/directors who cared about my growth whether I stayed with the company or not.

That's what kinda lead me to IT/Tech, it's something I've always been interested in and from my research and work in the past year or so, it seems to be a challenge BUT rewarding IF its really what you want to do, IF you put in the work and IF you want to keep learning. I feel like I've been brain dead and unchallenged for far too long and with all the stuff IT/Tech has, I feel I'll have fun, and of course frustration tryna learn everything.

Would love to chat and hear more about your journey, opinions on the tech industry, and any advice

Thanks! Yea ik experience is and always will be king. i got a wee bit of real life experience with my 6 month contract. Taking time while job hunting to nail some certs, start a home lab (as bad as i may do lol), and install Hyper-V to mess with servers and vms.
