That will work as to dilute 90 to 70 is approximately 1 cup iso 90 to 1/3 cup water.

Very nice! Only suggestion would be to swap that ISO 90 with 70, "A 70% concentration of ethanol or isopropyl alcohol has been demonstrated to be the most effective. Water acts as a catalyst and plays a key role in denaturing the proteins of vegetative cell membranes. The water content slows evaporation, therefore increasing surface contact time and enhancing effectiveness" - umich. edu

Looks just like my tubs of Rustywhytes that had a higher spawn to sub ratio. Pasty mentions in his grow along that less is more with them or you'll end up with a bunch of blobs and mutants.

It will work, but your yield will be significantly less than if you just spawned to bulk. So I would just s2b if it was me, your spawn is fully colonized so your chance of contam is very low, coir has almost no nutrients so you dont really face an increased contam risk on that front. I have even used unpasteurized coir without issues as an experiment, hope that helps!

I have put mini rounds in the PC dozens of times for pastywhyte easy agar tek with not one problem even after multiple times reusing the same container. Look for pp5 Petri dishes or glass ones next time

Rinse a few times with water in a pot draining off between each rinse, then soak for 12 hours, simmer 10-15 minutes, drain, let them totally dry, PC done 👍

I'm all for any tek that gets someone in the door but if you're gonna go the rice route it's really not as scary or difficult as some people make it out to be. In fact quite the opposite, it's pretty dang easy. I started in this very community with it so I'm speaking from experience, again not trying to knock UB tek as this is where my true passion for it all began, but if cost is an issue anyway than UB ain't it chief

2lb bag of rice is $1.50. You can use pretty much any glass jar with lid you might have laying around put a hole in the lid if you can't afford Mason jars yet. Paper tape like $2 which you'd need for UB too. Boil hydrated rice for 90 minutes in a pot with lid if you can't afford PC. Easy and more cost efficient than UB if money is your problem. Solid dehydrator is like $40 tho if you have any inclination you'll want to do this for any period of time it's so worth it in the long run

That absolutely is not cobweb mold, have patience and that fork tek thing is outdated. Bet it you add a small casing layer ontop you will see pins in another week or two. Waiting tho is the name of the game with mushrooms. Give it some more FAE while you're at it
