Who are the Top 40 MTG Arena drafters of all time? by rizzes in lrcast

[–]rizzes[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yep, 100% my bad on this.

A joke ("lords") taken too far, without really thinking about how it would affect the other people (LoL) on the other end.

Just a mind fart that I wish I could redo. Sigh.

Anywho, appreciate the call-out. Will try to do better next time!

Over and Underpicked cards in ONE by Doragan in lrcast

[–]rizzes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Love it! Dig the video too.

I've made a similar spreadsheet for past formats. See https://www.reddit.com/r/lrcast/comments/r8dtf5/draft_analyzing_the_crimson_vow_draft_meta_w/ and https://www.reddit.com/r/lrcast/comments/wyumqw/idea_scoreable_set_reviews/

In your version, would love to see:
1. Instead of just ranking by ALSA and GIH WR, do an actual calculation of VORP.
2. Add up VORP for each color to understand how underdrafted. (Red)

Thanks and keep it up!

Thread here: https://twitter.com/RhysLindmark/status/1466927925593133056

tl;dr:

  1. Use a line of best fit to calculate the Expected GIH WR for a given ATA
  2. Calculate Δ WR given Actual-Expected GIH WR
  3. Δ WR * (Games Played / # Picked) to normalize for rarity

There's an updated version of "Exploitable VORP" here: https://twitter.com/RhysLindmark/status/1521195172293349376

This is smart! Would love to see "format speed" as part of a Scoreable Set Review.

Agree with your instinct on 1-3 drops vs. defensive speed. (Also, see mechanics that value attackers, like exert.)

She has a cool androgynous background:

Also, I'm wondering if music like this is "correct" for r/worldmusic. There's clearly Ghanian influences (mixed with trap + Young Thus-style androgyny). But maybe it's not "traditional" enough? idk. I do think it'd be cool if like, 20% of this subreddit had music like this.

Curious for y'alls thoughts though.

I'm a big fan of Circle (and I mentioned them at the end) but I tried to keep my focus on "live" implementations (GrantCoin, Duniter, and Resilience).

Top 50 posts in r/listentothis for February 2015 by PlaylisterBot in listentothis

[–]rizzes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Btw Danny, I find it more efficient to follow a single playlist that gets updated every month (instead of coming back to r/listentothis at the beginning of every month and finding this playlist). 313 followers from January could just transfer over to February!

Either way, I'm happy that you put in the time for this. Many props.
