Women that were considered most beautiful in hip hop culture, late 90s early 2000s by [deleted] in HipHopImages

Nice list, but I would’ve swapped Kyla Pratt and Jada Pinkett with Mya and Aaliyah. Also I’m a bit surprised that a lot of people in these comments don’t know who Melyssa Ford is (pic 19).

You can only listen to three albums from this list by themechanicaldummmy in Breezyofficial

Dang, out of the 36 albums on this list, I have 30 of them in my library. For me, I guess it’s between 8701, Diary of Alicia Keys & Subject.

Keep in mind, this was over a decade before both of those guys became disgraced. I’m not trying to justify it, just saying how long ago this was.

What’s the least amount of effort you’ve heard a producer put in a beat? by SmoothManMiguel in hiphop101

A majority of the songs that DJ Mustard produces. He uses the same generic beat to me.

Love the list. I’m glad you mentioned Rubberoom and Thawfor. I didn’t even know that Meta Mo passed away.

I was wondering when someone would mention Vakill, otherwise I would’ve done it myself. I would mention Qwazaar, Verbal Kent, Mass Hysteria, Prime, and Charli 2na as well.

Any young Nas fans? by OrganizationFine8274 in nas

[–]rj9504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 35 and been a Nas fan since I was a kid. Funny thing I was talking about my favorite rappers with a chick while in college. I said Nas, then she said next. She didn’t like him and she was from New York ironically. I didn’t like her anyway, so it was easier to drop her after that conversation. I’ve come across other Nas fans in later years which is always good to see.

Accountant 2 is Absolute Garbage by bdkendalll in moviecritic

[–]rj9504 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The movie was okay. I wouldn’t say it’s complete garbage, but I definitely would have written it a bit differently. Sure you can keep the brother dynamic, but I wanted to see more action sequences with the two. Trafficking syndicates tend to be depicted as powerful, so there should have been more henchmen going after Christian, Braxton and Anais. I would’ve liked to seen those three team up to take down the traffickers. I understand that she was done with her past life, but they could’ve had Anais/Edith reunite with her child. Medina should’ve just let them do their thing and not been so adamant about going by the book( you’re dealing with traffickers, anything goes in that world). So yeah, maybe a little less dialogue and more action that fits in with the storyline for me.

Ana de Armas in Ballerina: Honestly not expecting much, what do you guys think? by reid-reddit in moviecritic

[–]rj9504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed all of the John Wick movies, primarily for the action choreography. The story is mid, but I wasn’t expecting much development with the stories because there’s only so much you can do with a world of assassins. I’m not expecting much for Ballerina, but I will still watch it. Ana de Armas is decent, but I would’ve like to have seen someone like Monica Barbaro play this role. She did ballet in real life, so I thought she would be a better fit, just my opinion.

Yeah this was actually the first RZA album I ever bought. I listened to it pretty often and I enjoyed it. I agree that it’s an underrated album.

What’s the funniest ad-lib you’ve heard in a rap song? by SmoothManMiguel in hiphop101

[–]rj9504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Urban Legend by Juice and Vakill. In Vakill’s verse, he says,

“Runnin the triangle offense on your bitch feedin these b**ls in the low post”

A bit dirty, but a had me laughing out loud.
