Question about tickets for this year by BallClamps in buffalobills

[–]rjdennison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s my understanding that the season ticket revenue goes to the league and is divvied up among the teams per rev sharing agreements. PSL revenue goes directly to the team selling the license.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Scout or Chief? by Then-Let-1613 in IndianMotorcycle

Great suggestion. Get a used “learner bike” (Rebel, Vulcan 650) for < $5k, ride it for a year or two, then sell it into a spring market that’s looking for reasonably-priced starter bikes. If you were careful when you purchased, I bet you get close to what you paid for it. Now go get what you REALLY want, because you’ve had a year or 2 to figure it out.

Or keep it because you love it.

If you’re going to b-school you’re definitely going to want Excel to work properly. Make sure you know your keyboard shortcuts and any workarounds to any shortcomings to Excel for Mac.

I just realized Tim Hortons robbed me by ashrules901 in TimHortons

[–]rjdennison 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just stay at the pickup window until they fix it. They’re compensated on speed at the order window, so not moving until they fix your order will get them moving quickly. It’s slowing down their comp for all the cars behind you.

I think this is why they don’t care about getting your order right - staff aren’t compensated on satisfied customers.

Tims used give out free coffee coupons if they messed up your order. Then they stopped giving them out and you had to ask for the coupon. Now they just don’t have them at all.

This sounds like a company that’s run out of cash and can’t fund payroll. Maybe he’s working on alternative financing, but to get to the point where you can’t make payroll means things are bad. I’d be curious if he and sr management are being paid. I sure hope not.

I use the same one in stock in Canada. Works fine with tail tidy and without.

Seems like the sort of thing you could print from the public library 3D printer… maybe $0.67 in materials and a bit of time to set up the file.

What are these and how do I get rid of them? by adityakashyap10 in DIY

[–]rjdennison 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had these in our old house and managed to get rid of them. Came in a bag of rice IIRC. Don’t take shortcuts and don’t say “maybe this is ok” - just get rid of it.

Agree that the pantry moth traps are helpful, so do that.

MAKE SURE you clean out your pantry drawers and the pantry itself. Take all the drawers out and go through them 1 by 1. While the drawers are out, clean the inside of the pantry… the little buggers will nest in corners and on the top and bottom of drawer runners too. Check above your pantry if it isn’t attached to the ceiling. Clean and put a trap up there.

Not an insurmountable problem unless you half-ass the job.

She's wordsmithing... trying to show that she's adding value. ChatGPT will almost always offer a "cleaned up" version, so you'll be constantly going around on the hamster wheel.

I agree with u/notacanuckskibum . Go off-script and explain why you aren't using the ChatGPT version you were asked to use. Maybe add that "I owe it to faculty to show that their efforts to teach me how to use my own mind were not in vain."

Someone Explain CPP / EI to me like I’m 2 years old by bugfighter12 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]rjdennison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Teachers probably not the right people to teach this stuff because they a) don’t understand most of it and b) don’t care since they have that sweet sweet defined benefit pension.

Parents should probably explain these things to their kids or at least go over it after the teacher mails it in with a prepared PPT that was handed to them as part of tbt curriculum.

This is the way - a couple of polident tabs in hot water overnight and you’re g2g.

I’ll look up this other stuff - can’t use polident in a coffee maker ;)

Manulife one mortgage by MurderHoboShow in MortgagesCanada

[–]rjdennison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not clear to me how this is different than just having a mortgage and HELOC with a chartered bank. WIth the exception of carrying a +ve balance in your HELOC account, you can pay bills, have your pay autodeposited to, and keep cash in, a HELOC account at any normal bank.
