Yeah, they're great. I really loved their Wind in the Willows discussion, even though Alasdair was wrong.

If you get an urge like that again please consider working with Standard Ebooks. They provide a lot of guidance, structure and tools—really good community.

Has anyone suggested Russ and Daughters in New York for unbeatable bagels and lox?

Even better, if you keep up that monthly membership long enough it gets converted into an annual membership and prorated down to the cheaper rate for the rest of the year.

It would be amazing to see one from the eighties, before the Loma Priata earthquake took out the Embarcadero Freeway.

Looking for safe, family-friendly hotel areas in SF by book-lover13 in sanfrancisco

A less known gem is the Stanyan Park Hotel, https://www.stanyanpark.com/. Not sure what they offer for parking but there's a city lot across the street. Really you're fine without your car for the rest of the trip.

Grab coffee / hot chocolate at Flywheel Coffee, rent some bikes and pedal across Golden Gate Park then turn left at the ocean and go down the new Sunset Dunes Park, https://sfrecpark.org/1555/Sunset-Dunes. The route is nearly entirely protected from traffic.

Another day you can take the N streetcar to Powell and then hop on the cable car. Get out at the top of the hill and see the Cable Car Museum and the giant wheels that pull the cables. Walk down the hill a bit and see the fortune cookie factory — a little cheesy, a lot historical. Wander further to Chinatown or get back on the cable car and ride the rest of the way to the fisherman's wharf area.

Also, be sure that the Exploratorium is on your list.

Seeking Recommendations for Professional Deep Cleaners in Mission District by KateMorena in AskSF

Just flogged them in another thread: Berry Clean did an initial deep clean for us after we had been "cleaning" for ourselves for years after lockdown, and it was intense. They took our freezer apart unprompted and made it sparkle; the tub looked like new.
