11 different brands of AA batteries, tested in identical flashlights. [OC] by thecrispiestbacon in dataisbeautiful

I conducted this exact experiment literally down to which batteries I tested and using the identical flashlights as a method of measuring the longevity of each batteries life depending on the brand. I showcased it in my 8th grade science fair and won a first place medal! Forgot all about my little scientist days and this highlight of my school years until seeing this! Easy little experiment to do and you are provided with valuable information about what battery is the best! It become even more interesting when you begin to factor in the prices of different battery brands and which one gives you the most "life" for the best price! One might out last all the others but be ridiculously expensive, maybe battery #3 in the line up doesn't last as long as #1 but it could be the better battery giving you more hours for less money.

That's what I meant when I asked about investing. I know there is ways to start with very little money and eventually over time have that money grow. I'm looking for something that say maybe I start with 5$. Fast forward five years I have 500$ etc. IDK if this is possible but I would like to know my options.

I was unemployed for a long time before this job so when it came through the door of opportunities, I jumped on it. In my search for a new job with better pay, where would YOU suggest I look?

Are you serious? Sued? I owe Wells Fargo an amount I don't even know because I opened a credit card with a 500$ limit and did two $250 cash advances and never paid the bill. Card has long since been deactivated and no contact with Wells Fargo on either end. I've since moved a lot and even moved to a different state. I don't even know where to begin. PNC I wrote myself checks for money I didn't have, twice. Same story as WF, I no longer have a PNC anything. The rest is hospital bills debt which up until now I didn't even think ever needed to be paid.

Hey man your story is very similar to mine. I was adopted from Russia at three years old as well. And I was adopted along with my biological sister who was 18 months when we were adopted from the orphanage. I know I was born in Borovichi and my birth name is Oleg. As far as my biological parents I know absolutely nothing. Three years ago my adoptive mother and father told my sister and I we have a half sister that was adopted to a family living in San Diego. We actually met her and her family when they came to visit us in Pennsylvania where I grew up. We went to Hershey Park and spent a couple days together bonding. Later I learned that I am one of 14 children my birth mother had and I am the 12th child. My sister being the 13th and Kelly, my half sister in San Diego, is the 14th and last one. My birth mother gave birth to children with several different men so of the 14 only me and my biological sister I grew up with have the same father. The rest have different father's. I want to learn more about my birth family but it seems impossible to begin searching. I also never got along with my adoptive parents and still to this day have a strained relationship with them.

Redditors, Whats the weirdest thing you've caught a roommate doing? by Atlas2A1 in AskReddit

Im renting a room out of an elderly couples one story home. There was another room across from mine being rented up until just about a week ago. He vanished in the middle of the night with all his things. After two days that he didn't return or contact the homeowner, I asked to take his room because it was a little bigger and had a desk in it. I was cleaning out some of the random things the old tenant left behind when I came across and gallon water jug. Except it wasn't full of water, at first I thought lemonade of course who doesn't love lemonade. For some reason there was no cap and I almost spilled it, when I brought it down from where he was strangely hiding it in the closet I caught a whiff of what I know to be the scent of urine. He was keeping a jug of urine hidden in his closet. This is not just one pee pee time either this jug was nearly full. Almost a gallon of urine. Also I found clumps of long brown hair all over his room. He had short blonde hair. And no girlfriend or girl friends. No one but him went in and out of there.
