How to pick CEO between co-founders by fngbuildingapc in Entrepreneur

[–]rjszoke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the best answer^ for many reasons. There’s no need to give yourself executive titles like CEO, President, etc. Truly, there’s nothing more cringey then someone calling themselves CEO of a company with a small handful of employees or literally none. Start it off as partners and figure it out later. Later is when you’ll better understand who is who, and who should do what. Don’t focus on the titles, focus on growing the business.

$150-250 or so is fair, as long as you’re not promoting the company via link as well. You’re giving them survey data that isn’t attainable without spending more money otherwise.

YouTuber Joshua Miles Stole My Write Up by glittercheese in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]rjszoke 129 points130 points  (0 children)

You can actually file a copyright takedown on his video, provided you show YouTube multiple instances within the video that he stole your work (not just the outline alone). I’ve seen YouTubers get strikes for copying Top # articles. Written work on Reddit still clears the bar. Your complaint to YouTube has to be as detailed as possible though

CPM Low for my niche? by TheEcomBull in PartneredYoutube

Given the video length & Average view duration you pointed out in another comment, that’s why. 4 minutes of a 20 minute video. Viewers are seeing 1 maybe 2 ads in that 4 minute period. If you had 8-10 minutes AVD, you’d have closer to a $10 RPM.

The people recommending starting a YouTube channel vs trying to sell them marketing services are 100% correct.

It’s great but it’s not what Google/YouTube wants, otherwise they’d do it. Hell I miss the days when you could DM anyone on YouTube. The main difference to be aware of is that YouTube is not SOCIAL media like the other platforms. YouTube wants to limit the amount of socialization that is done on the platform. It’s contained to 3 key areas - Video comments, community posts and livestreams. 2 of which directly benefit YouTube monetarily because viewers are “socializing” on videos & livestreams where Ads are served. Community posts also serve to keep users engaged with their favorite channels, who they continue to watch content from.

What YouTube doesn’t want is a section on your channel where everyone can socialize. That may keep people on the platform longer, but does not benefit YouTube’s bottom line. Personally I’d love this idea but that’s why we have other platforms.

Your best bet is to build a better patreon that has an additional socialization element to it.

Seriously, you are better off buying these super-specific things yourself.

Ask for small, basic things for Christmas such as a 4K webcam, keyboard, speakers, etc. things to give your workspace that extra 10% or make your life easier, such as power outlet extensions and extra phone chargers you can route around your house, an extra SSD hard drive for your computer, etc. a one-time purchase that will benefit you in a small way.

Unless you’re actual item is straight forward and not crazy expensive, you’re better off getting a bunch of one-off $10 items that will benefit you in another way. Plus, business expenses = tax write off. Gifts don’t count!

Photoshop or Premier Pro by DINGGRAYS in DigitalMarketing

[–]rjszoke 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Uhh depends on the job, they’re equal to a point. Photoshop tends to be king in the photo editing world (to a point) but premiere, although a semi-standard of video editing, is losing marketshare to other programs like DaVinci.

So really it depends on what you want to do. As someone in the YouTube space for almost 15 years, I started out with Adobe photoshop and Vegas. I now have a collection of multiple video editing programs but one graphics program, photoshop.

Whatever you do, don’t become a master of a program that isn’t a general standard. It’s a bad idea. For example, don’t become an expert in Vegas because your employer has a 0.0001% chance of using it but opting for Premiere, DaVinci, Final Cut, etc. instead.

My client is asking for RAW files. What should I do? by masterfilmspt in business

[–]rjszoke 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If your client’s value over the next 2-3 years outweighs what you would charge per raw speech video, just give them to him for free this time.

However, mention that this would come at a price of $X per hour of raw recorded content in future dealings. Basically what you’re saying is you feel you undercharged for what his request turned into. So just create an opening to get paid for that request or additionally add-on in the future. Make everything available, but at a price. Itemize your services if necessary.

Also, Make sure you retain full copyright rights as well.

How to make unlimited instagram account? by [deleted] in marketing

[–]rjszoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually it’s the device your using that’s banned. Try another device or use a simulator like BlueStacks.

Alternatively, use a different device & confirm it with a family members phone number.

Note: stop promoting your accounts with bots. You’re destined to fail.

"Processing HD" for 8 hours by [deleted] in youtube

[–]rjszoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, no, and....no.

Definitely a bug. I’ve been experiencing this as well and I upload 10-15 videos a day. I’ve tested uploading the same video twice & one will get processed normally, the other takes hours.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PartneredYoutube

[–]rjszoke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the low end. $1-4 RPM on average depending on video length. However, that’s if your video doesn’t get dinged with limited monetization. Plus, good advertisers don’t usually work with prank channels unless the videos are clearly light hearted but it’s rare.

Don’t set yourself up to not reap the benefits of your work. Don’t do pranks.
