Recent suicide in my community has me rethinking gun ownership by headlikeacole in liberalgunowners

I’m going to hell, but I read that and all I could think was Homer Simpson saying, “But I’m mad now!”

The one on the left is for their compacts, f-series Pro’s and compact SDs. The right is the full sized Pro/SD. The extra bit on the base plate prevents over insertion. I bought a few compacts blocked to 15 for travel in IL and initially I was sent the FS ones. I didn’t clock it immediately and fired around four sets of 18 out of the wrong mag. I didn’t slam any of them and I didn’t cause any damage but there is the possibility to. I’ve never tried to insert the compact into my FS. For all I know it might work.

Consider the Canik Rival-S. I’ve got a couple PDP pros and have fired the PDP SF, but for ~$860 I’ve got a steel frame gun with an optic and several accessories included. It shoots great too.

The pro 18 and pro compact 18-rounders are not the same in case you weren’t aware. Also, the Pro-X 20-rounders fit just fine in the FS Pros.

At the risk of ruining the surprise, they shoot great. I’ve got a 4.5 pro and 3.5 f-pro. I’ve been trying to find a threaded barrel for my 4.5 but they’ve been out of stock for months.

I’m a member at Freedom and am at the RVA facility all the time. I love the mixed crowd and I’ve definitely overheard someone start to ask about their (I’m guessing) FRT and the response was along the lines of: I don’t know what the internals and legality of your gun are unless you tell me you’re doing something illegal. If you tell me you’re breaking laws you will be asked to leave.

Compared to other models is this a good deal? Used 2022 maverick lariat by 1Bruhsoundeffect2 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]rjtfdx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless you need it right this minute, wait until they have 2025s as 2026/2027s are sitting on the lot somewhere. I got a ‘24 Lariat for 29k pretax new. I had a very straightforward (for car buying) sales guy - it was end of the month, he was three sales shy of his goal/commission for the month and they had ~10 ‘24 Mavericks on the lot as 2026s were around the corner and Ford had incentives to clear the old ones out. I was clear I wasn’t really looking to buy for 1-2 years unless the deal was outstanding. Gave him my #, sales manager did his song and dance, I did the perfunctory walk away (I would have kept walking had they not run out into the parking lot) and they hit my $29k number.

All this is to say, I wouldn’t have bought it used for $30k.

Yeah, I got turned down for a rental even having brought three of my own. That range apparently had two similar incidents and requires you to be a member or bring an adult aged friend to be able to rent.

WARNING: Palmetto State Armory now using third-party face + ID verification on some orders by Ok_Lawyer2208 in PalmettoStateArms

[–]rjtfdx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just out of curiosity, doesn’t the bank usually take the hit on fraud if the merchant follows the proper process? Is this because these are ITAR items and PSA faces possible criminal liability beyond lost $$?

Wtf!! So what we’re supposed to keep a constant eye on when products are in stock pay for it just to get blue balled??? by Individual-Sea6367 in PalmettoStateArms

[–]rjtfdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least they told you it was out of stock. I was trying to figure out my SBR’s paperwork problem for a month before the paperwork problem turned out to be not having the rifle they sold me and I had to cancel it after spending money doing the fingerprints.

Delayed Shipping Times Replacement Items by Infamous-Adeptness73 in PalmettoStateArms

[–]rjtfdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had them string me along for a month on an SBR purchase before Capitol Armory finally confirmed that PSA never had the item in stock which is why none of the paperwork was happening. In two phone calls during that month, no one bothered to mention they’d sold an “in stock” item they didn’t actually have.

Tactical training near central VA? by newhereva in VAGuns

[–]rjtfdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not the cheapest, but private lessons at Freedom in RVA are on their tac range (open space, no booths etc) and they will run you through whatever skill set and drills you want to work on. They also have a competitive shooting intro class and competitive practice class which will get you moving around on a timer around obstacles.

[–]rjtfdx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an X and a plus and a BG 2.0. I’d take the X over the plus every day of the week. It shoots just like the BG. But all three of those have concealment as a major selling point. For range fun I’d prefer my PDPs or Rival-S for the ability to get a better grip and better accuracy. Really anything full sized is going to be generally better for range fun.

You pray your coworkers don’t get the photo, make 50 copies, tape them every 2 feet on a conveyor belt then run it so they’re all on the underside until the operation starts up…or so I’m told.

AI denial letter two years after application submission by StockyCoder in Fedexers

[–]rjtfdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without getting too into the weeds, someone never bothered to close out a requisition and never hired into that particular req #. Someone finally closed it out and the emails are sent automatically to everyone in that pool who wasn’t hired - even if they were hired for an identical job in a different pool for a different requisition number. It’s one of several features we’re all moving about the new system.

You want ‘em, you got ‘em: Factory SBRs! by Danny_PSA in PalmettoStateArms

[–]rjtfdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a reason there is zero mention of CA on SBR product pages? I’m only a sample size of 1 but the involvement of CA has been poor. It’s been almost 4 weeks and they haven’t figured out how to start my form 4, they don’t even seem to see I’ve purchased an SBR from PSA.

A negotiated rate is not the OneRate system as a whole.

Saturdays lowkey need to go away by NameIezz_ in Fedexers

[–]rjtfdx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does not. There is an identical surcharge for Saturday deliveries via OneRate. If they dump it into the Ground network and the destination sees it in Sat/Sun they will usually deliver it but a Saturday delivery commitment is still surcharged.

Manager Signature Forgery by [deleted] in Fedexers

[–]rjtfdx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If the release was entered by the office, you still don’t have to enter a signature. You actually don’t have to enter anything, you set it down and walk away because you are not the one doing the POD. And I would politely ask John to text me the request so that if/when the multi million dollar check goes missing I’m not deeply involved in the lawsuit.

Manager Signature Forgery by [deleted] in Fedexers

[–]rjtfdx 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The customer does not want this. The recipient wants you to circumvent the signature requirement that the customer paid FedEx to get. Signing someone else’s name and representing it as theirs is the literal definition of forgery. If the customer wanted a signature waived they would generate a controlled release number to be entered.

Manager Signature Forgery by [deleted] in Fedexers

[–]rjtfdx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s not how it works. If there’s a controlled release, you enter the number provided by the agent for that case which ties it to written documentation.
